Let the Matt Flynn-to-Miami speculation commence.
Miami already looked like a potential landing spot for the Packers backup quarterback. Now that the Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has landed the head coaching job in Miami, it’s only natural to connect the dots.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald writes that the Dolphins are interested in Flynn, but didn’t hire Philbin “with the assumption” that they would also land Flynn. It’s possible that Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements may also come with Philbin.
“We’re thrilled to have Joe Philbin join the Dolphins as our head coach,” Dolphins owner Steven Ross said in a statement Friday night. “Joe has all the attributes we were looking for when we started this process. [General Manager] Jeff Ireland and I felt Joe was the right choice to bring the Dolphins back to the success we enjoyed in the past.”

Something I mentioned earlier in a post. Don't assume. Lots of competition for Flynn.

The Dolphins have as good a shot as anybody. Of course there will be competition but we can win that.

i hate obvious information from the media as filler...just like i hate obvious information threads started by members...no crap we can't assume flynn will be here...but we're just as much in play as anyone else provided philbins giving his endorsement

It's even worse when someone slaps "breaking news" on top of it.

It's definitely no sure thing, but we're easily the most attractive destination for him and we have next to nothing tied up in our current QB. If we want him, I don't think we're going to lose him.

After all the hype and buildup, I'll be LMAO'ing if it ends up with Philbin advising Ireland not to waste his time going after him.

You always have to keep on mind that Flynn might not want to come down here for whatever reason.....that's always posible but having said that, I hope we at least look into it.

Ozzy rules!!

could happen...but i'm thinking there's genuine interest in flynn with this hire...we'll see

Vaarks 2 liner was better than the article ...

That's the advantage Philbin brings ... he should know Flynn's core ability better than anyone & have a feeling for his upside.
