PFT - Dolphins Draft Needs

If we take a LB at 9 then there's something real wrong with our FO.....I can see us going DT or even corner at 9 tho I doubt it but not LB.

Basically in a nutshell it says we need a QB (Quinn, Stanton, or Trent Edwards), LT (Levi Brown), and the one I thought was "interesting" LB (Rumors of Patrick Willis at No. 9)

Yeah, I read that and counldn't believe the draft picks that we have wasted
on QBs....


n 2000, they dealt a seventh-round pick for Jim Druckenmiller.​

In 2001, they sacrificed a 2002 sixth-rounder and a conditional seventh-rounder in 2003 for Cade McNown and a 2002 seventh-rounder.​

In 2002, they gave up a 2003 seventh-rounder for Sage Rosenfels.​

In 2004, they sent a 2005 second-rounder to the Eagles for A.J. Feeley.​

In 2005, they shipped Feeley and a 2006 sixth-rounder to San Diego for Cleo Lemon.​

In 2006, they sent a 2006 second-rounder to Minnesota for Daunte Culpepper.​

In 2006, they sent a sixth-rounder to Detroit, which has since upgraded to a fifth-rounder, for Joey Harrington.​
 
Does this team realize that they need to draft a QB? I say move up to 6 if Quinn is still there to nab him before Minnesota does.
 
L. Brown is not a true LT....anyone who watched his tape can see he doesn't have the foot speed to match speedy D.E.'s....at best all he's good for is playing RT.....Talk about being over-hyped.
 
I don't know much about Trent Edwards or Drew Stanton but i do know that we need a QB to guide this team. Culpepper's status is up in the air as of right now and i think we need to find a QB if he's not ready.
 
LB maybe b/c they KNOW ZT will be gone next year. dont be surprised ppl if i reacll he is a FA and the way our FO is unloading he just MIGHT get out.

taking a PB type MLB at 9 is seriously wrong? what you talkin bout willis?

Foot speed is not the only thing that makes a good LT. Power and punch and good use of arms.

I think this crap is overblown on Brown. I think that any good speed rusher can burn any LT in this league at some point and time.

Brown is athletic for his size. His feet are not as big a problem as the fact that once he dominates for a while, he falls asleep and someone comes in and burns him. This is what I saw on tape. But if you discount all the good stuff, then you are simply playing politics.

The 6th and 7th rounders were gambles on good college QB's who disappointed with their original NFL teams. The odds are that any rookie taken with those picks would have had less than a 10% chance of making any NFL roster. I don't have a problem with those moves. This franchise started running into trouble when it started giving up too much for unproven commodities like Feeley.
This team needs to spend a high rd pick on its own QB. Most of the successful NFL QB's were drafted by their original teams. Franchise QB's aren't just traded away.

Look at Mueller's history in Seattle & New Orleans...he seems to always draft a QB. I feel confident in saying that Miami will draft a QB that will be on their roster come opening day, just not sure which round they pull the trigger.
 
This really comes down to how you feel about Alabi, the left tackles that are available in round two etc etc etc........

If Alabi is ready by Houcks reckoning, then selecting a defensive stud is not a bad move with number 9.

Patrick Willis is in my opinion going to be an All-Pro linebacker, a true impact player.

This reminds me of the 1996 draft, we bypassed Ray lewis for Daryl Gardener.

If Mueller deems Willis the best value at #9, I'm good with it.
