PFT: Dolphins will be up-tempo, attacking team in all phases

New Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin met the media in Miami today and said his coaching philosophy is that the Dolphins are going to employ an up-tempo, attacking style on offense, defense and special teams.
But while Philbin said he’ll draw on his experiences as the Packers’ offensive coordinator, he also downplayed the extent to which he can simply give the Dolphins the same system that the Packers had.
“You can not just take the Green Bay playbook and slap it down in South Florida,” Philbin said.

I like that Philbin understands he needs to work with what he is given and adapt the system to the players. The offense next season will be dependent on whatever QB wins the battle to start, Moore isn't Rogers so if he indeed takes the starting QB roll due to circumstance than a west coast/hybrid style offense might play into his strengths.

I am excited about this hire, I can not wait to see how the rest of this plays out from the rest if the staff down to the final roster.

Dolphins G.M. Jeff Ireland said Philbin will have complete authority to put together his own coaching staff. And Ireland said he thinks that staff will have a roster that can win right away.

Hmm, interesting when you think of all the talk coming out about McCoy and being forced to keep Bowles.
