Are you really comparing Trent Green to Peyton Manning??? Really.....
 
Every report in the world is going to have us "going after Manning" do to our QB situation. THIS IS NOT NEWS. It is very similar to every mock draft having us taking a lineman in the first cause our line sucks...
 
Dawn Aponte better be prepared to sell her soul to the devil in order to get Manning plus sign all our draft picks and a few free agents,and retain a few of our own players ...good luck with that
 
We dont need a QB to learn under Manning. No two QBs will see the field the same. What Jay Cutler thinks he can squeeze in a hole his back up will not attempt. What Matt Moore think is open another qb might not. We dont need a mentor we need a starter for 10 to 12 seasons.

If Miami openly says it will go hard after Flynn then this will make it more likely that the Pack will try to franchise him for picks.
By openly saying that Manning(who is a mirage right now since there is no guarrantee he plays) is their top target they try and cool the market for Flynn. Everyone is looking at Miami to go after Flynn because of the obvious connection to Philbin.

True, but all the articles go back to Ross. And I believe Ross would pay anything for Manning. He would have a superstar QB, one of the NFL's biggest stars of all time. Every game would sell out instead of having himself and sponsors buy tickets and give them away and still see it only 70-80% full. (and maybe even they would sell it all through season tickets??) Ireland will not have the final say in Manning, Ross will. Just like Ross put down the trade for Kyle Orton. He would be able to sell the fanbase that they are doing everything to get to a super bowl. Can't really do that with Flynn unless he goes out and proves it, and they'll have to sit through another season of attendance problems.

But....just because Ross will pay, doesn't mean he would definitely come here...

I hope you're right, cause it would be a bonehead play. Manning is good for a vet team one piece away from the Big Day, not us.
