To those who've been to camps, would you agree or disagree??

HARRINGTON LOOKS HORRIBLE

Word around the league is that Dolphins backup quarterback Joey Harrington has looked horrible in his first official minicamp with the team.

Harrington, the third overall pick in the 2002 draft, was acquired via a trade in May from the Lions. The Dolphins sent to Detroit a fifth-round pick in 2007. The pick could upgrade to a sixth-rounder.

We're not suggesting that Harrington is in line to not make the team, but with starter Daunte Culpepper apparently well ahead of schedule in his rehab from that torn knee ligament trifecta and with No.3 quarterback Cleo Lemon arguably better suited to serve as Culpepper's understudy given that they both are far more mobile than Harrington, we wouldn't be surprised to see Lemon leapfrog Harrington at some point during the 2006 season.

I imagine the rest of the report is just as accurate as this gem:

"The Dolphins sent to Detroit a fifth-round pick in 2007. The pick could upgrade to a sixth-rounder."

Somebody has to explain that one to me.

yup noticed that too, losers.

whats funny is the headline is harrington looks HORRIBLE but they only say this because cleo is more suited to be daunte's understudy?

i hate when reporters do stuff like this, give ****ed up messages and make huge headline comment and then never justify it.

this article and PFT are garbage.

The extent in which PFT will go to sell themselves is

as shameless as the truth would ever be. I don't care if Harrington bombs or not, but the last thing I want in football is the "National Enquier".

:chuckle:

I was thinking the exact same thing!

I haven't read anyone's camp report that said anything of Harrington looking horrible. I doubt any of the PFT guys were at any of the practices either. Crap reporting IMO.

I want to hear from people who've actually been there, because I doubt that those folks "around the league" have even seen him.

And it's minicamp. He's learning a new offense with new players. I don't necessarily expect greatness.

joey seems like the kind of guy who can take criticism very well, he seems better suited as an understudy rather than a starter

look at his college career, he played at a school who arnt really a national power, or have a strong tradition, therfore not that many things are expected.

just my 2 cents

And just to add to my last post, here's another nugget.

League insiders who are observing the Miami Dolphins tell us that it appears that rookie Marcus Vick "doesn't give a sh-t," but that Fins coach Nick Saban inexplicably is coddling him.

Appears??

I think maybe they have him confused with Manny Wright. But who knows.

Haha. Right on. Typical PFT stepping out like they always do. Funny how they say something to that effect and have a stupid error like that in it. I'd be cool with our 5th rounder "upgrading" to a 6th rounder haha.

Muck, I don't mean to sound ticked off, but I wouldn't give

these guys the time of day anymore. They are completely shameless. Truth or not doesn't matter to me. I realize some will argue ESPN and others are in the same boat these days, and they might be right. But sometimes the way truth is brought out is much uglier than the truth itself.

I don't doubt that they've talked to somebody. In this case, they are the messenger. What I'm doubting is the source.
