PFT ranks us 29th

It is utterly ridiculous for any supposedly respectable national media outlet (PFT is affiliated with NBC Sports and has plenty of NFL guests on its video segments) to rank the Carolina Panthers ahead of Miami. I understand this is meaningless, but if PFT is telling us it is about Henne and Sparano, then they clearly they believe Cam Newton and Ron Rivera (first-time head coach) will be better this season. That's laughable. And that's still then assuming that the rest of the Panthers team must be better than Miami. Please. Stop.

Wouldn't expect them to be ranked any higher than 16th or 17th since the offense hasn't proven anything...but 29th is laughable. Yeah...I'm sure the Panthers, Seahawks and Bills are so much better...

Yup, 29. Right below the Panthers and 5 and 6 spots below the Bills and Seahawks respectively. What a disgrace. Did we not go 7-9 last year? Interestingly, the number one team is the Packers - a team we beat, and, a team we basically beat and a team we nearly beat twice - the Steelers and Jets - are in the top 6. I really can't wait to see all these "experts" eat crow after we win week one. Then again, if we do win, I bet the story will be of how the Patriots are falling off.

Oh what a deep, well thought analysis by PFT.

We gotta be realistic. Our offense is an unproven commodity. Our D is Top 5, but they're not tasked with scoring points, so until our O proves it on the field when it counts, people are going to bottom us out.

And with all the drama we've had, I think that's fair.

I got no problem with the media hating on us, cause we have not giving them reason to think we will make a playoff run or anything...but to take a middle of the road team from last year, with a top D, and new Offense, and say we are basically not capable of winning but 1 or 2 games this year is really unwarranted. We did win 7 last year for pete's sake and most of those on the road.

29th? Id rather be 32nd just to bring these suckas down by week 17.. We know were will be top 10 by the end of the year!

Anytime that you have question marks at both QB and HC you have a recipe for disaster. Any objectionable fan would look at Henne, Sparano(and Ireland) and have more questions than answers. Now I wouldn't go as far as to say we will be a bottom 5 team but we really do have more uncertainty than we'd like at 2 of the most important spots on any football team. What is more disheartening is how some are content with mediocrity so long as it's not being a laughing stock.

I.E. how DARE they say we will win only win 2 games, this is an 8-8 team!

And if you saw a post where somebody said we would go 12-4, you'd get on them about that too though wouldn't you? =)

I think it would be crazy given the circumstances, sure. Funny you mention 12-4 though. The last time we won 12 games or more we had Marino and Shula. Marino/Shula, Wanny/Fiedler, Cameron/Beck, Sparano/Henne.

Which one of these things, is not like the other thing? Hmmm!

I think the media on the whole is being very harsh in their appraisal of the Phins. Are we a playoff team? Probably not, but there is no way that we are the 29th ranked team in the league. This "journalist" even says that he could see the Bills getting a playoff spot this year, which should warn us to the kind of insight this guy possesses. He also ranks the Seahawks at 23 and they have just had one of the ugliest pre-seasons that I have seen.

It amazes me sometimes, how such people are paid to write such shoddy articles.

Thats outragious!! We're not the 4th worst, WE"RE THE 8TH WORST, godammit!!.

The constant unwarranted disrespect is sickening. This team is much closer to a playoff team than the league's worst team. Using Harbaugh and Henne as the constant excuse for why they think the team will be bad just shows that these guys don't do real research.

This is pretty much spot on. Granted, Henne is still a big question mark as is the offensive line, but I can't help but think that all of these 'experts' are basing their predictions of what the Dolphins will do ON the field on what happened in the offseason OFF the field.

what has harbaugh done to warrant such a high praise? he doesn't take snaps from center or catch a pass.
