]They'll call it a fluke. Lucky win. Pats weren't focused. Bill Belichick is still tinkering with the 4-3 and hasn't got it fully installed.

Whatever the reason they wouldn't give us any credit for the win I can guarantee that.[/B]
and i will be more than glad to hear then say this after we kick the pats *** on monday. just win baby

Yup, 29. Right below the Panthers and 5 and 6 spots below the Bills and Seahawks respectively. What a disgrace. Did we not go 7-9 last year? Interestingly, the number one team is the Packers - a team we beat, and, a team we basically beat and a team we nearly beat twice - the Steelers and Jets - are in the top 6. I really can't wait to see all these "experts" eat crow after we win week one. Then again, if we do win, I bet the story will be of how the Patriots are falling off.

Sooo by ur logic if u beat them u guys should be ranked #1?!?

PFT is a joke. Another site who's writers are untalented, unknowledgeable idiots. Really, it's good for breakings news, but skip all of the opinion and analysis portions of the articles.

O really? Thats funny just the othere day there was a thread declaring the site the best thing ever sincr it had a positive article about the phins

That's 10 long yds and then having to convert a 2 pt conversion. They weren't a missed kick away or one dropped pass.

Miami tried to acquire orton, we all know this and the tried to hire Harbaugh.

As I said, it was 10 yards to go and then a 2 pt conversion. Thanks for saying the same thing I just said. I never stated anything otherwise.

You can't try to acquire someone if you don't make an offer.

The constant unwarranted disrespect is sickening. This team is much closer to a playoff team than the league's worst team. Using Harbaugh and Henne as the constant excuse for why they think the team will be bad just shows that these guys don't do real research.

I agree.. I don't get how we can warrant such poor opinions. Our preseason was pretty encouraging. I think they simply jump in bandwagons and stay there until someone else builds another bandwagon.

Pathetic.

Yep, it's a big conspiracy by the media to keep he dolphins down no matter what.

There's certainly no 'conspiracy' against the Dolphins, but it is clear to even a new NFL fan who the media darling teams are. It's just not 'sexy' to talk about the Dolphins and a bunch of other teams. Conversely, the media assumes that the vast majority of NFL fans DO want to hear about the Jets, Giants, Patriots, Eagles, Steelers and Ravens (who did I leave out?) and subsequently force them down our throats.

How could you forget the Cowboys? :)

i dont expect more then 6-7 wins but this is ridiculous. The Dolphins did make improvements this off season that seemed to be overshadowed by the Harbaugh and Orton fiasco. This is no different then how badly the Pats and Jets are over rated.

If you don't think Miami was in serious talks w/ den then your head is buried in the sand.

10 yds and a 2 pt conversion is a long way to go.

A team that has zero playoff wins in over a decade and is coming off 2 under .500 seasons is not going to be a sexy pick. I agree w/ you there but it's nothing against the dolphins. make big moves, be an annual SB contender and you will get publicity just the other teams(the Giants aren't getting any pub other than for their injuries this year).

I understand you guys ahte the Jets but we were a game away from the SB the last 2 years- that will get National attention. The Pats won 3 SBs not long ago, Philly made splashy moves this offseason, Pitt has won 2 SBs recently, Bal is always a contender,... Once Miami starts winning big again they will get coverage, the dolphins have a good nat'l following and the media would love for the dolphins to be good. They just haven't been.

Much of the negativity surrounding the 'phins this year has been self-inflicted as a result of the early off-season shenanigans. Truth is, we have more talent on the field now than we've had in years...it's just been overshadowed by the front office's handling of the coaching situation.

Your D is solid, on O you have too many question marks. If they come up positive you can contend for a playoff berth but is Henne ready to take a step forward? Can reggie Bush run the ball effectively? what about Daniel Thomas? and most importantly what about your OL? If I knew your Ol was going to be good I'd feel good about the other things I mentioned but those are major ?s.

I don't understand why the media is going full force on the Fins. Sure there is a lot of questions on offense, but not enough to warrant less than 5 wins. That's a whole different level than winning 7 games.
