Longtime Indianapolis receiver Reggie Wayne is heading toward free agency having heard nothing from the Colts about whether they want him back, and so the conversations are starting about where Wayne’s landing place could be. Unsurprisingly, the Dolphins appear to be a strong candidate.
Wayne played for the Miami Hurricanes and spends his offseasons in Miami, and Omar Kelly of the Sun-Sentinel reports that Wayne would be open to signing with the Dolphins.
That, of course, raises immediate questions about whether Wayne and Peyton Manning, who could go somewhere as a package deal, will find themselves as teammates in Miami, as they have been in Indianapolis since Wayne was drafted in 2001. On today’s Dan Patrick Show, Tony Dungy, who coached both men, said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Reggie ends up where ever Peyton ends up.”

we still need clyde or a speedster in the slot. i know bessy is amazing, but we need that burner.

Nice, could you post anything relevant that comes out of the conversation?

Reggie on becomming teammates with Peyton in Miami - "I could see it, I'm definitely not opposed to it . . . I would love to follow him to Miami, my lines are open, my phone is working . . . let em know, my phone is working"

Wow, Reggie wants in

Reggie would love to work with "The Beast" - "Says it would be a great combination . . . it would be truly dangerous if they put us together (Wayne, Marshall, Manning) . . . the league might not want that".

Damn the Irvin show getting South Florida pumped this morning

That would be awesome manning at QB with Marshall and Wayne on the outsides and Bess in the slot I could get used to that for a couple seasons

Reggie on SuperBowl in Miami with the pieces - "Storybook ending, it would be lovely . . . hell you got me visualizing it"

Reggie is adamant about Ross/Ireland to "call" him, his phone is working, his bars are full, I will answer

Omar Kelly is involved so the story has no fact behind it.

I think of all the possible influences that Peyton has, if I could pick one that I want speaking up for the Dolphins would Reggie Wayne. I was wondering this morning if Reggie would try to pull him here. This thread makes me happy.
