Good afternoon fellow Phins Fans: :dolphins:

It looks like PFT is on a roll today....As if the report on Culpepper this morning wasn't enough to infuriate most of us.....They now are reporting that Nick is upset with Culpepper for some of his comment at Monday's press conference.

SABAN NOT HAPPY WITH CULPEPPER'S CHOICE OF WORDS
There's talk in league circles that Dolphins coach Nick Saban wasn't pleased with certain portions of the recent comments from quarterback Daunte Culpepper at a Monday press conference. Supposedly (or, as they say in Jersey, supposably), Culpepper's equivocation regarding his availability for the start of the 2006 season has caused a little consternation for the Nicktator, who believes that it will now be more costly to sign a veteran backup at the position.
The irony here is that Saban apparently is loosening up his "one voice" approach by allowing other members of the organization to address the media. Based on Culpepper's recent performance, Saban might just put the kibosh to his adventures in glasnost

IMO I think this is a bunch of bull!!! Apparently PFT is intent on stirring things up in our yard. I think if they have nothing newsworthy to report about us, they should just keep their mouths shut!!!!

Sound off ppl.....I need to hear your voice!!! :allhail: :feedback:

I believe it. Saban has been known to play games like this (faking interest in braylon edwards last year) to get the outcome he wants. By Culpepper admitting that he might not be ready, Maddox and Harrington know they have more bargaining power. Hopefully Nick won't allow any more press conferences.

You are Correct!

I'm not surprised. Saban doesn't seem like an easy guy to please. Don't bash PFT for reporting bad news. They're not doing it to purposely anger Dolphins fans.
I live in Jersey and I don't say supposably...so that's the only part of the article I have a problem with.

The entire football world knows that Culpepper MIGHT not be ready for the season.....Pepp didn't exactly say anything earth-shattering. He didn't even say that he thinks that he won't be.....just stated the obvious that it is possible that he won't be....the same thing Saban has said in the past.

Nothing to see here.

It's weak...he didn't say anything new, that we didn't already know. He has always said it was his goal to start the season. Nick has always said that it is only possible that he will start. I think this helps if anything. Harrington wants to go to a place where he can show his stuff for a bit and then get a fat contract the next year or so somewhere else.

agreed! everything C-Pep said Saban stated in past interviews already. :)

they are going by the Armando article, I read it and didn't see anything out of line is the spin Salguero put on it .

Is he unhappy NO!

Is it true that daunte's injury is increasing the price of a back-up...YES!!!

It increased the price the day we got DC, it isn't continuing to increse the price. There are a few people we can get right now, but it seems Saban is waiting for Harrington's price tag (trade value) to go down. We want Harr., he wants us, the Lions will get desperate as soon as his bonus starts to kick in. We should have it done by the draft.
