Not sure if this is 100% accurate and not just guessing on their part, but they have us trading the 232 pick to Jacksonville for Tony McDaniel.

For those that don't know, that would be Miami's original 7th round pick. It also means that they retain the 214th and 237th pick in the 7th round.

Even if it was the other picks it wouldn't be much difference. There's not much that separates the talent level of 7th round picks.

Damn we have a beefy front 3!

23 picks separated the Dolphins first 7th round pick and their last 7th round pick. That could be a pretty big difference between what player you get. Obviously the odds are stacked against a 7th round pick, but I would still rather a higher pick in that round then one that is practically an UDFA.

It appears this is accurate information. Just read it in the ESPN blog.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nflnation/0-6-532/Quick-update-to-2009-NFL-draft-order.html

The NFL has released its version of the draft-order file I made available after the league awarded compensatory picks Monday.

This version, in the form of a news release sent via email, shows that Jacksonville acquired the 232nd overall choice from the Dolphins in the Tony McDaniel trade. The teams hadn't announced which of the Dolphins' three seventh-round choices were involved. Now we know.

So, this information is not from Florio, but from the NFL directly.

you can still get a good player in round 7......we got Mark Clayton in round 8? Jeff Cross in round 9?.....Joe Jacobi who was a former probowler for the skins back in the 80's was undrafted and that was at a time when there were 12 rounds....you can get a good player in any round and you can get a bust in any round too.

Ozzy rules!!

you can get good undrafted players....Davone Bess. Wes Welker....

it sounds like we will be looking at the defensive line and and secondary as the main targets.

Not 100%. I talked to Armando Salguero today and he said he is going to ask the team(maybe Ireland or Sparano) which pick it was and get back to me.

are you going to believe what he reports? :d-day:
