PFT: Some strongly believe Sean Payton will be in Miami next yea

I heard Dan Patrick saying the same thing about Payton coaching Miami next year on his radio show. I just hope we could hire him without giving up a first round pick. But if we wait things out, some other team might step in with a trade offer and Ross will end up looking dumb AGAIN , like with the Harbaugh recruitment that went nowhere.

It makes for good talk, but I don't see it happening. It would be an extremely stupid move by NO. Their issues pretty obviously come from complete mismanagement by that FO.

I don't see any way he's allowed to leave NO. The city will revolt.

If Campbell doesn't prove to be the answer, I'd be fine with this. Ross will probably mess it up though, he messes pretty much everything up...

Cause he's overrated as a coach. His defenses are rarely good. He thinks Rob Ryan is a good DC and he's not. He was part of bountygate with Gregg Williams as his DC (but we get all over Philbin for bullygate and give Sean Payton a pass for not knowing what going on inside his locker room and on his own staff?) and most of all because he's pass happy and we've seen how that doesn't work for us.

I would be happy if he was the new coach, if Campbell can't make those lazy fockrs perform.

No draft day compensation though, just money...

We could send them Wake & OV gift wrapped

I'm curious how the GM position would get handled though.

Is it too much to hope that Hickey stays & Tannen-bomb gets plane tickets back to NY?

Which Payton are we going to get? Hungry, aggressive, and innovative Payton?

Or drug-addled, boozing Payton? Well, we're going to find out.

payton with tannehill...i mean look what he did for brees

i get the part about the d's rarely any good but if he can elevate the qb to that level i mean hard to take issue with it

I think NO is ready to restart things. This is Payton's 10th year(9tth plus the suspension year). I think they move on from Payton and Brees after this season.

a new situation would probably recharge him but you never know.

You know who is saying it. Mike Florio & Dan Patrick. They both work together on Sunday Night football. That's how rumors start. Then when Payton does not leave or goes somewhere else, Florio will run out and shout "ANOTHER COACH TURNS DOWN THE DOLPHINS". Just a bunch of BS.

Probably. Watch, Miami finally lands Brees next year and he turns out to be dog****. Just their luck....
