PFT Speculation: Linehan to get fired

I have a feeling that if Saban wanted to start another QB then he would. I don't believe old Scotty has that much clout.

well, he sure didn't seem happy with the play calling from upstairs in the interview i saw...

I think Linehan could get fired soon.... He is a great OC but not for the type of team that we run.... I dont think we need him.. id like to see the dolphins bring in someone else..

You do not fire a coach who just signed for 800K after one year.

Not gonna happen unless Linehan agrees to not being paid.

Just watched the interview and in the begining when saban was asked about that play he was really calm. So goto the insider and see for yourself. He got upset about the DB's and the team in general but not the part your specifiing.

I think we could have that type of team, but we're a few players away. To me this doesn't make that much sense because I don't think Saban expected to have an offense comparable to the Vikings right away. I think Linehan could be a good coordinator for this team but a year or two down the road. Not with Frerotte at the healm. Maybe it will be too late by then. Maybe Saban will shorten his leash for now and take things from there.

I honestly actually think Scott may be fired at the end of the season. I think he's a great O.C. and he has a great style about his play calling but he's just not the best fit in Miami, IMO. I think he is a lot more agressive than a team of out caliber suits, especially with a high QB turnover here. We need someone who can build familiarity with our offensive line, our QB and our running game and balance the system effectively.

You Guys Are All Going Nuts He's A Great Oc And People Have To Give Him Atleast 2 Or 3 Seasons To Get His System Working On All Cylinders...plus He Doesn't Have The Greatest Of Ol's Or Qb's If You Know What I Mean ...give Him A Chance Geees....

Linehan will have the remainder of the 2005 season, beyond that it's anyone's guess. As we've got Ronnie / Ricky improving from game to game, I don't think it matters who's going to be calling the plays in 2006....

I'd like to give Linehan some better talent to work with before canning him, but that's the way this business in sometimes. For all we know, Saban and Linehan may not see eye to eye the way they initially intended....

We'll see where this goes, but right now Linehan still has time to turn it around, and make a statement....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Fire him after ONE year? COME ON now... Even Spurrier got more than one year and he was a total flop. He'll get at LEAST one more year. That is if he is not hired away as a HC.

Rumor mill for a reason but higly doubtful coaches are never at falt for what players do...
