Pft suggests manning will use dolphins like everyone else

It will be a factor, but it won't be the main reason he goes to a team.

Well if winning a superbowl is a factor why go to team that has had a winning record in 3 years. In reality we are no closer than alot of teams that will be looking at him. I think money will still be a huge factor and we have less cap space than many other teams. Seattle has the money and is no less talented

What do you guys think the max we'd spend is? I would hate to see us go over 25m per year.

I dont think we can spend that much period. We are about 13 mill under cap so im saying 20 is our max and that might be strecthing it

I suspect at one time Bill Parcells helped Mrs Florio discover her G-Spot, and as a result, an 'inadequate" former dime-a-dozen shyster lawyer has, when it comes to anything associated with the Fins, at least been able to sustain a figurative hard-on. :idk:

So in other words, you don't see him coming here. I think we're the best spot for him. We're a losing team because we don't have QB; this is a solid team that desperately needs a QB. The weather is nice, and he loves it here. He has a house here. The only team that really concerns me is KC.

Are we talking money as in paying him the most or money as in the cap space? I just don't see Miami going to Seattle because they'll pay him the most.

ill be truthful I have no clue where he will sign but I dont see him turning down a much better offer to come here. I dont think we are the best spot for him but we are a good spot. If money is close he will go to team that gives him best chance to win. As for money or cap space they are intertwined and we dont have a ton of cap space

Cant blame the media when the same thing has happened 2 times already (Harbaugh and Fisher). The only thing that gives me a little hope is that Manning seems to be a pretty genuine guy and not a piece of **** like the other 2.

Actually we are 17 mil under but I can't see them going more the 12-14. They still need room for Wayne, Reggie Nelson, a RT and rookies. There will either be a lot of restructuring, cutting, trading or a combination of the three.

It would be great to get Manning in alot of ways but if Manning gets hurt which is always possible and with our record setting oline quite possible this signing could hurt us for years depending on the guaranteed money.

IF MANNING GETS HURT WE ALWAYS HAVE MATT MOORE LMAO!

funny you should mention our record setting oline. the rams, cardinals, dolphins and seahawks were at the bottom of the list respectively for sacks allowed. 3 of those mentioned are reportedly interested in manning. might have peyton scratching his head a bit. lol

I was talking from a cap standpoint. Moore is ok as his backup, hopefully if we sign Manning we draft Tanneyhill but in a lower positiion. I just hope we dont get stupid and ignore qb in draft

Agreed. The only reason I wouldn't want him is the financial problems it could cause if he is unable to play. Biggest reason I think they need to draft his eventual replacement.

BTW, 25 million a year? He signed a 5 yr 90 million contract with the Colts last year which puts him at 18 million/year. Them cutting him has to do with his injury and their rebuilding project they're about to get going. I don't see Manning making close to 18-25 million a year.
