PFW-Not easy being green

Yea i agree with you. He had some glimpses last year where he really played well. But ppl just want to keep thinking to when he was scorced my Moss. Its MOSS! lol. I think hes going to be great this year personally

I hope most people here knew Green was signed for depth. I bet we draft 2 more DBs also.

We are all rooting for Allen..this is his last chance.

I think the ship has sailed on jason allen, i dont think he sticks around much longer. I was hoping he would become a good player for us, but now i see him as a special teams player only and those are a dime a dozen.

he'll be starting this year, the staff likes him and is giving him the oppurtunity.....
Better him than any of the older FA CBs that were overpaid.

He has ability to be a #1 corner... you'd have to be mentally challenged to give up on him, especially considering the circumstances. Nobody wants to be patient anymore... like the people saying "this is ginn's last chance or he's a goner"..

There's only so long you can wait on a player to break out before he peaks. Ginn need to break out this year. I do agree we can't fully utlize him with Pennington under center, but, he's got to start doing the little things right this year.

Allen is another..He's GOT to "Get it". I think TunaCo wants him to do well...I really do. He's just got to buckle down. He can't play safety.....Lets hope he can play CB.

I think JA turns it around this year....Even with the 10 downs he's played so far...lol...jk....he still has 5 picks...if you go back and read scouting reports of him coming out he was know as a ball hawk...now if he could only live up to it..

No one wants to see a 1st round pick on their team be a bust. Let alone a #16, but seeing as this is his 3rd year, this is probably his last chance, at least with the Fins. If he doesn't turn the corner fast he is in trouble.

Try 4th year, this is Ginn's 3rd year...Saban picked Jason, then cam, last year with Sprano, this is Jason's 4th year, 2nd at corner only, hopefully that helps..the guy does find the int when it's close to hm..

Your opinion is biased based on his draft position.
If he had been anything other than a mid 1st rd pick the criticism wouldn't be as harsh.
I agree he hasn't played up to his draft status, but he has had some good games for the phins and has shown a penchant for ints' given his limited playing time.
The guy needs to work on his technique at the CB position. He has the size to outmuscle most WR's and the speed to cover most of them as well. He was beat by Moss due to poor technique. That is coachable.
Don't think he has the instincts to call the coverages from the Safety position, though.

He's the ultimate tease and that's why BP and co want him to succeed.
Let's assume he was coming out in this draft with a very average secondary class.
You've got a 6'1" 210 lb DB who runs a 4.36 40 at the combine.
Which DB in this draft class even comes close.
Vontae Davis is the closest thing, but he ran in the mid 4.4's I believe.

Chri Clemons at the safety position was close, as was David Bruton, whom we should draft to play behind Bell.

Eric Green may very well end up backing up Gibril Wilson at FS. If we don't draft a FS who else who do it? Courtney Byan?

I never liked Bryan. It might have been because I thought Tuff Harris showed a lot more than he did and Cameron didn't give him a real chance.

JA needs to be put at the CB spot opposite WA,and LEFT THERE,and quit being bounced around the secondary by our coaches...and on JA part,he needs to be studying film on every receiver in the league so he can learn what they like to do out on the field so he can stick to them like glue...he also needs to get up with Todd Bowles and learn EVERYTHING he can from our Secondary/Assistant HC,as well as study our defensive playbook....then once OTA's&TC starts,he needs to become Ginn's shadow...this is all my opinion of course...

Don't forget about T. Culver at the safety position who had a couple of interceptions for us last year....Another year in the same system will only help him get better..
