PFW on Ricky Williams

I thought the more interesting blurb was directly below, about the fading relationship between Mularkey and Adams and the possibility that Sam Adams gets poop canned this offseason.

Sam Adams would make one heck of a replacement for Keith Traylor...depending on what kind of FA play Sam gets on the market.

Interesting bit:
Word from Buffalo is that DT Sam Adams has not responded well to head coach Mike Mularkey’s attempts to motivate him and is likely playing his last season with the Bills.

Traylor and Adams side by side.

That's probaby not in the cards. We're generally looking for a more active player for our 3-Technique spot...a guy that can play 3-4 DE. If Adams is getting lazy, he's suited for NT. All you need to do at NT basically is move forward and not get pushed side to side. Lock on and move straight forward and you're probably disrupting the play 99% of the time.

Interesting read, especially since I just read the thread about rickys career being over by that idiot J the Brick on MSN. It just shows you what sports writers really think isnt exactly whats going on in the field and locker room.

That is my biggest worry for next year. Wright and vickerson are not built to be NT's. We really need a wide body like adams. or in an ideal world that ngata guy looks great.

Sam Adams is terrible at this stage in his carreer. He is too fat and lazy. Traylor still dominates but will soon give way to Manny Wright and possibly...........Ngata in the draft. :D Maybe......but we will not need Sam Adams. Saban is going to draft his defense from this point on and even get guys off the wires he knows about.

I wouldn't say Adams is terrible, but there's little question he's not the player he once was, and it's becoming more apparent that Pat Williams, not Adams, was the linchpin to that strong Buffalo defense last year.

Plus, Adams' attitude this year hasn't impressed me, particularly that episode of leaving the game when he found out he was inactive. If he comes cheap, fine, but it's more likely that someone will overpay when (not if) he's cut, and I hope it's not us.

great read about Ricky...
