PFW: Saban is finding that Dolphins' rebuilding job is monumental task

Good article. I'm all for Saban followers coming into miami. If we have players buying into his system and some arent, the players that aren't need to go. Those players are what's keeping our team from turning around.

I'll give Saban a three yr learning curve. We'll compete next year but the following is when we'll know for sure if Saban is our guy or not.

Pats will beat the Colts next wk. Manning doesn't win big games.

Good article ... thanks

“There are Saban guys and guys who could never play for him,†one person who knows Saban said. “And he will get guys who will play for him. There will be a lot of people you see on the team this year who won’t be there next year.â€Â

Are we already looking ahead to the off-season? Could get interesting.

I think it was a very good article. Very truthful and it gives hope for the future. We have to realize that while Saban can sign as many players as he wants in an offseason, he will only get a few each year that are "Saban" type players. That is why you can't turn a 4-12 franchise in shambles to a Super Bowl contendor in just two years. With a huge amount of cap room next season, and the growth of his first two drafts, Saban's team will finally take shape.

Yes, I know most of the players on the team were signed by Saban and not remaining Wannstedt players, but a lot of those are just holdovers until Saban can find "his" guy. It will be a slow process, but it will be worth it in the end. Keep the faith.

Kind of like how the Colts-Pats game went last year?

The article kinda reminds of Kurt Russel in Miracle.

"I'm not looking for the best players - I'm looking for the right ones."

Absolutley. It took Belichick some time to turn around Cleveland, and I am betting they are kicking themselves for letting him go so soon. Give Saban the time he needs.

Yeah just like the great Saban decided he could draft a bust with our 16th overall pick t9o take Schulters plkace who was 3rd on our team in tackles and led the team in forced fumbles and picks and threw in a few sacks. Keep it up god Saban.:shakeno: His little pansy SEC players can't get the job done and because of his BS ties he keeps wasting our picks. Let Mueller handle the drafting and players from now on and let Saban concentrate on proving he can coach is what I say because he sure don't look like much considering KC and Holliday had to bail him out last year by defying his word and telling what our team was.

and where is your boyfriend Schulters now? oh thats right he's waiting tables in Dennys or standing in the unemployment line, perhaps the fact that 31 other coaches and GM's don't want anything to do with him tells you something about what Lance Schulters can bring to a team

Yeah, Lance Schulters is really tearing it up with his new team. Afterall, every team in the league was bidding heavily to sign the all-star Lance.

Oh wait, that high bidding was on my Madden game. In real life Lance is sitting at home and out of the NFL because nobody wanted him. Wow, what a great player that NOBODY in the league wanted him. :sidelol:

Jason Allen a bust? I didn't know you could call a draft pick a bust only 7 games into his first season. Most people wait two or three years before making that claim. :shakeno:

Boyfriend? Just pointing out the facts. From the recent events it looks as if though we are paying a waiter to play ST's and allowed him to steal millions from us. If Schulters is waiting tables I would rather have him getting my order than an overpaid dish wahser like Saban tried to replace him with.

I am putting the bust tag oin him already because of his hold out actions and his contributions for a 16th overall. He may pan out but he is a bust in my eyes for those reasons as of now. Remember he held out longer than anyone except Leinert.

I can't beleive you guys are trashing someone who contributed to our team like Lance did and wanted to return. Yeah he wanted more money but his prodution spoke for its self and we would have one less hole on our team.

Do you not think 7 games into a rookie campaign is a little early to close the book on Jason Allen? Troy Polamalu's rookie season followed a remarkably similar path after all
