Chiefs QB Trent Green  The Browns have entered the fray for Green with GM Phil Savage confirming that he has talked to Chiefs GM Carl Peterson about a possible deal. But the way we hear it, the Dolphins are the only real option for Green, who has made it clear that his preference would be a reunion with Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron, whom he played under in Washington, and Dolphins QB coach Terry Shea, whom he played under in K.C. But there were two notable sticking points at presstime: (1) Green turns 37 in July, and Miami doesn’t want to pay him much more than the veteran minimum, and (2) the Chiefs are said to be asking for a second-round pick , while the Dolphins have been willing to relinquish only a seventh-rounder. The consensus seems to be that, if the teams could agree to meet in the middle (a fourth-round pick sounds about right), there’s a great chance Green could be Miami’s starting QB in Week One.-PFW
