PFW-Wake article

No t.v. No parties. All football.

I can't wait to see what this kid's got.

maybe the brass thinks our pass rush is gonna be so furious that thats why they didn't pursue all of the better DBs that were out there in FA. I'm only speculating... and I doubt he even starts right away.

As of this point Wake is by far the player I will have the most interest in come OTA's and training camp. I know he is still a little raw, but I can't wait to see Parcell's giving him pointers on the sideline developing his talent.

I can imagine his covarage abilities are a little lacking, and that he may have problems at the biginning of training camp setting the edge against the run because of not having the experience. However, I don't feel it will much different than the way Roth struggled at the biginning of last year.

What Wake brings to the equation that Roth cannot is his ability to get to the QB. I am predicting (if healthy) double digit sacks for Wake next year, and possibly NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

I can't wait to see Wake on the field. I know the CFL is not the same as the NFL but I think this guy is going to be a real star for us.

Roths Bullrush is pretty sick, its his finess moves that he needs to develop. In the few passing situations he was in last season he was ok. If Roth can develop at the same time as wake, we can have two young monster OLB's when porter is no longer in a Miami uni.

We can only hope. I don't want to come across as someone who thinks Roth did a bad job last year. I was a little worried last year in training camp but was pleasantly surprised by his progress at the end of last year.

That being said I just think Wake has the potential to become a more dynamic player than Roth (you know what they say about potential).

I would love to see both of them develop into and thrive as great OLB's in the NFL.

Anybody know why he changed his name from Derek to Cameron....or is he using his middle name as his first name now?? I'm a big PSU football fan and recall Derek Wake being a very athletic OLB for Penn State, definitely a solid player back in college.

well,he was our first FA signing, and a hyped one at that...plus considering all the other NFL clubs that wanted him as well,i certainly do hope he lives up to the hype and brings it on the field...
