I know alot of you on here dont like the idea of getting Trent Green. Well I can tell you I am not so hot on the idea as well. Well here goes....

Swap our #9 and Marty Booker For Kansas Citys 1st rd.#23 +2nd rd.#54 +5th rd.#160 and Trent Green.

Point values for the picks according to draft Value chart #9 = 1350 points
#23 = 760 #54 = 360 #160 = 27.4 Points value equals to 1147.4 which the difference is 202.6 draft points or equal to a mid 3rd rd draft pick. If they bite on this trade then we can pick up Staley or 1 of the top CB in the draft.

Draft would look something like this

1#23 OT-Joe Staley/CB-Aaron Ross/CB-Chris Houston
2#40 WR-Steve Smith/CB-Aaron Ross/OT-Aaron Sears
2#54 DT-Tank Tyler/C-Samson Satelle/WR-Craig Davis
2#60 DT-Turk Mcbride/DE-Victor Abiamiri/Drew Stanton
3#71 QB-Drew Stanton/TE-Ben Patrick/FS-Tanard Jackson
4#108 OG-Josh Beekman/CB-Kenny Scott/LB-HB Blades
5#160 WR/KR/PR- Yamon Figurs/PK-Mason Crosby/TE-Matt Spaeth
6#181 WR-David Ball/PK Justin Medlock/LB-Dallas Sartz
6#199 RB-Dwayne Wright/LB-Prescott Burgess/DE-Jacob Ford
7#219 SS-Jessie Daniels
7#238 OT/OG Dane Uperesa

The way I would like to see the draft go if that trade is made
1#23 OT-Joe Staley
2#40 WR-Steve Smith
2#54 DT-Tank Tyler
2#60 OC-Samson Satelle
3#71 QB-Drew Stanton
4#108 CB-Kenny Scott
5#160 WR/KR/PR-Yamon Figurs
6#181 LB-Dallas Sartz
6#199 DE-Jacob Ford
7#219 SS-Jessie Daniels
7#238 OT/OG Dane Uperesa

Tell me what you guys think?

If Rodrique Wright & Manny Wright work out ok at DT, then I would change the #54 pick to CB-David Irons & pick #108 to TE-Kevin Boss

I like how you and I flip-flopped Spaeth and Upresa.

I'd be ok with that. If we don't have a reasonable shot at Quinn, I am all for trading down and picking up as many picks as possible. I think we could get a king's ransom if Adrian Peterson, or possibly Willis, were hanging around at nine (especially if we drafted them, then traded them).

I'd rather do it that way than pick up Trent Green, but to be fair, I really really don't like what he brings to this team if he's not simply a caretaker for Quinn

i like it but i want garret wolfe on the team in 07

booker is so explosive and the last thing we need to do is trade him. he puts a 110% effort on this team and in my case was our best receiver last year. so i say NO WAY!

you are saying that Stanton will make it to the 3rd round and that is crazy. hes most likely gonna be a late 1st round pick.

How do you have us having three #2's?

In my opinion I had him tied with welker as our 2 best receivers last year. But his cap number is very high and he is getting long in the tooth at 31 for a receiver. I guess I am old as well since im older than booker.

a little crazy.....alot of picks and players involved in that trade....but i like the players you like

Lay off the Madden :shakeno:

You think it's remotely possible Kansas City will give us (a) 3 picks which include a 1st, 2nd, and a 5th (b) Trent Green to get our #9 pick and Marty Booker?

(a) Their biggest need is WR, why would they trade all that for Marty Booker and the #9 pick when they can get a BETTER WR than Booker at their current spot?

(b) Who would they want to trade up the the #9 pick to get?

They've already expressed hesitation in giving up Green for a 7th, and you expect them to give him up including 3 picks for the 9th and Booker?

I understand the point of this thread is meant to be a hypothetical situation, but at least make it somewhat realistic. As a dream scenario, I'd take that given the fact we'd have so many pics, but don't like any of the ones you made. Oh yeah, Stanton doesn't make it out of the 2nd.

Sorry I dont play madden. But the point of the trade is that they would be given draft point value equivalance of a mid 3rd round pick which I think would satisfy there needs And they would take at the #9 spot alan Branch or levi brown. And if we needed to sweeten the deal we would hand off our last 7th round
