NOT THE TIME TO SECOND GUESS by Phil Simms

...THIS LEMON IS GOOD

"I saw where Cleo Lemon was traded from the Chargers to the Miami Dolphins. He's a name to look out for. Lemon was a very talented college football player at Arkansas State. He has a very good NFL throwing arm. I'm sure nobody has any clue about that, but you'll see. I'm a little surprised, frankly, that the San Diego Chargers gave him up."

EDIT: Sorry if already this has already been posted.

its just talk, but coming from simms, it does mean alittle more than coming from....mmmmmmmmmmmmm..say...salisbery. but phil is prob. miffed, that the bucs traded for rattay to back up his son..or is that why they traded for him...rattay is better right now, but i think he has peaked, young chris simms is coming along well..he sure managed the game well against us last week.

Rattay is third string....he'll never see the field

McCown is backing up Simms, and I dont really think the Bucs can go wrong with either of them

Word is Gruden loves Simms arm, but he is slow picking up the offense. Gruden has a very complex Offense that changes play by play where the QB has to make changes on the O-line blocking etc... I know most do, but his is more complex and Simms has not picked it up.

He wasn't asked to do much. When Gus is off the mark, Gruden put the game in the hands of his defense. Simms threw a couple of safe passes. Big deal. Pittman's long run on 3rd and 1 was the backbreaker and then the defensive score.

rattay will be in the week after simms first fails. he's been on a short leash since he's been there, and gruden grabbing rattay only strengthens that

youre in Tampa, have you seen McCown play? he's mobile, got a good arm, and picked up the O pretty quickly in the offseason. He looked pretty good in the preseason, and hell, he almost single-handedly beat us as a rookie last year....

its going to take Rattay quite a long time to pick up Gru's O, and lest ye forget that Simms actually beat out Griese last year, and only went to the bench because of the shoulder injury against NO
