Philbin is an excellent gameday coach. He has won every challenge this year. I thought that his use of timeouts at the end of both halves was handled correctly. I love the way he used a timeout just to give the ref an earful for overturning the defenseless receiver call against Matthews. My only quibble today is that I would have preferred that he had went for it on 4th and 3 from the 36 yard line instead of going for a 53 yard field goal.

I saw a lot of improvement from Tannehill today e.g. buying time in the pocket, rolling out and making throws and the willingness to run when nothing was there. Yes, he overthrew Wallace that one time but he'll continue to improve his deep ball.

What more can you ask from Tannehill when this OL is so bad that 3rd and less than a yard is a passing situation? He is constantly in unmanageable down and distance situations due to the ineptitude of the OL play. The fact is that Jonathan Martin sabotaged this season so that the joy of watching the team the rest of the way will be to monitor Tannehill's continued development. I can't wait to see what he could do next year with a revamped OL that will hopefully consist of four new starters.

I don't agree on Philbin, but I do agree on Tannehill.

I will say this, though: If Tannehill continues to improve through the last 5 games, Philbin should get another year. Developing the QB is the most important thing right now.

Philbin and Tannehill must stay ... as far away from one another as possible. Tannehill's career might still be salvageable.

The last 5 games will say a lot about my opinion on these two.

philbin will be staying, regardless of what anyone on here thinks.

And dont look now, based on snippets of Wells investigation, its looking pretty good that Ireland may be staying too (unless Philbin/Ross differ) as he is going back to see martin to check his facts.

Philbin should have used a timeout on the 4th and 10 late in the fourth. The defense was clearly out of position and unsure of what to do. It was the game deciding play and our team looked lost.

Sherman and the son-in-law needs to go.

Consistently blowing games in the second half is a sign of poor coaching.

Philbin has his good qualities but he also has a plethora of bad ones. I dont know if i can see him hosting a Superbowl trophy. And if he cant, then why waste time? Theres no need to handicap a new regime with an average coach. Stop with the half measures.
