Philbin + Clements + Flynn?

I've been wondering about the sort of staff that Philbin as a head coach could assemble, and found myself contemplating the idea that he could bring in Clements as his OC.. Could this actually be a realistic scenario? Would Tom Clements be willing to follow Joe philbin to miami as the offensive co-ordinator, or would the empty OC spot in Green Bay be more alluring for Clements? It is probably very unlikely but If it were to happen, it would put miami in great shape..

Assuming we could also pick up Flynn in free agency, we would have a Quarterback who is in a system he is comfortable in, and has been efficient in, albeit for two games.. Picking flynn up as the starter would also enable us to address another needs in the draft, drafting oline or a pass rusher at 9 rather than trading away future draft picks to get RGIII...

As I said, I'm not sure what the situation is regarding Clements, and I'm sure Green Bay would want to retain him, but perhaps he'd prefer to be at a team where he can call his own plays? So is this a realistic scenario, could we see both Philbin and Clements coaching the fins or am I being optimistic?

It can happen, but clements will want to stay with a winning team. Unless the money is big for him and Ross has the money.

Having a competition among the QBs would be the right thing to do. But if Philbin or Clements is here, than Flynn will be the starter, hands down.

It doesnt make much sense for Clements not to just take the OC promotion in Green Bay. Unless Ross pays him an absolute fortune. I don't think the appeal of calling his own plays would be worth giving up Rodgers and the impeccable structure of the GB organization. I'm not a fan of the Philbin dynasty a lot of people here want. Nothing about him screams HC and I don't think enough of Flynn to dedicate our entire franchise to him.

Wow! 6 TDs in one game. That's what I want to do. Sign a player to a big money contract based off one game. That AJ Feeley worked out real well, didn't he.

AJ Feeley never had anything close to 6 tds in one game. He may not have had 6 tds total when we got him. Plus, just simply watch games of the two abs and you'll notice Flynn has mechanics that LOOK like a starting NFL QB< whereas Feeley always looked like a deer in headlights....both here and in Philly.

Well of course. We didn't have to pay much for Matt Moore, so we just need to overlook his overall solid record in 25 starts and bring in a guy based on 1 game just so we can say we spent big money on the quarterback position.

um, please dont compare him to aj feeley. much different in the head. ill give you basing stuff off one game vs. detroits lame defense but you have to admit, the dude made it happen just as much as aaron rogers would have.

btw, giants are going to win. Philbin practically free now to roam.

Yep. Flynn with Philbin and Clements would give this team a far better chance to be great than Matt Moore would.

Everyone knows it will be a competition. Philbin is the kind of guy who will be real. But if Flynn ends up in Miami, they will want him to play cus his contract will dictate it.
