Philbin + Clements + Flynn?

But if we are using that same offense, with Philbin then signing Flynn makes sense.Give Moore a chance to win the job ,draft the BPA

Wow! 6 TDs in one game. That's what I want to do. Sign a player to a big money contract based off one game. That AJ Feeley worked out real well, didn't he.

Thank you for being a voice of reason. Flynn stinks of that classic "love the backup" syndrome that takes place in the NFL every year. Last year is was Kolb, at the beginning of the season it was Fitzgerald (Buffalo's last years backup), now it's Flynn.

Have we learned our lesson with players like Feeley, and others that have paraded through Davie in the past 6 or 7 years?

I for one think Flynn will be a fantastic starting qb in the nfl. I particularly like the idea even more if we are able to bring in Philbin. Don't forget about all the backup qb's that got a chance to start because they were either traded or the starter got hurt. Favre, Brady, Steve Young, Matt Hasselback, Matt Schaub, Romo, Kurt Warner... Of course there are a ton that flopped as well but you never know until they guy is given a chance. Once Barkley decided to stay in school, my interests shifted to Flynn.

I'm trying to figure out what Matt Flynn has done to warrant starting over Matt Moore at this point.

We know that Matt Moore is not good enough to win a title with, it is obvious to everyone who has seen him play in Carolina and Miami.

With regards to Flynn, he has performed better in his two starts than Matt Moore has in any of his 25 starts, he outperformed Moore in college as well. Flynn may not be the answer but at least there is a chance he could perform at the elite level he has already shown, a la Steve Young.

AJ Feeley isn't/wasn't even close to Matt Flynn in terms of numbers or play. Feeley's best game as starter in 2002 before we traded for him in 2004 was a Quarterback rating of 91.4. His numbers in 2002 were overall below average.

Matt Moore has an 81 quarterback rating the last 3-seasons playing on dreadful teams. He posted a 99-rating in 2009 starting 5-games. I'm sorry, don't compare a 2-game sample with Moore's complete body of work. Flynn has been in the same system the last 4-years. He's surrounded by Pro Bowlers and a winning culture. Moore's been on team's the last 2-years that are a combined 8-24! Flynn was backup for an offense that scored more points than any offense in NFL history with the exception of the 2007 Patriots. I think there is a large, Grand Canyon-sized chasm between the 2 quarterbacks' situations. Good analysis is done in context. Poor analysis is comparing apples to croissants.
