I have been a pretty good supporter of Philbin and Tannehill, but after reading Philbins recent comments about being "queasy" about playing to win on Sunday, I have no confidence in Philbin. What coach publicly states his distrust in his team the way he did. He did not have to say that as a response for his play calling even if it was the actual reason. How the hell does he inspire anyone at this point. To me this is coaching 101, display an outward trust in your team! Don't public state that you were afraid of your offense. Even if the outcome was the same and they played it safe or were aggressive, he could at Ideation instill his trust in the players. He could say I had confidence in our run game or pass game that's why I did what I did. Instead he looks stupid to the media, players and fans. He seems to be in way over his head as a head coach, it sounds as though even Lazor is calling him out.
8-3 or 7-4 finish I just don't see. I think Thill would be a productive QB with a different coach. I think he may be salvaged. Philbin tho? I don't think so. I hope I'm wrong but I think the locker room is close to or already lost, and out misery as fin fans will continue. I hope this team can prove me wrong.
