I just watched the presser and I was so impressed and happy to hear the things this guy was preaching.

It was heartwarming to hear how he referred to his family and to get a feel of the relationship they had. One thing he mentioned was that his family was the "all in type" of family.

He has a tremendous amount of support from his family and he is a respectable human being. I am so excited to see the atmosphere that he brings here. I have little doubt in my mind that he is going to turn this team of ours into a family. He preaches trust from all facets; from management all the way down to the practice squad.

This is the first time I can remember feeling a sense of burning passion for this team. After listening to Philbin, I really bought into what he was saying and his outward appearance to us.

I bet there are many that would agree that Philbin has already created a connection with the city of Miami through his class, determination through tragedy, intelligence and overall personality.

Welcome Philbin. I am so incredibly excited to see what happens in the upcoming months. This is the first time I have felt invigorated as a Dolphins fan in a long while

Gotta love this hire so far. I'd even say that it would be hard for me not to like the guy even if Miami keeps losing.

"The man who will plot the course for the Dolphins’ future didn’t want to pull back. He wanted to plow ahead."

I loved the comment he made about being the last job he wants to have. He clearly wants to be here. He clearly sees himself as the long term coach of this team. I never bought into the "young Don Shula" comment by Ross literally, but figuratively. He is looking to build the franchise around a coach, and create stability. A long term hire, to allow the franchise to grow, and develop. You can't be consistent without stability. Making this important hire, and sticking with your guy will create that.

Hopefully he creates a staff and culture that wins sooner than later, and we don't have to do this for a long time.

I was also impressed with how articulate he was. He seemed more at ease at the podium than both Ross and Ireland. Nice to see a coach of our franchise than actually TALK!

Love the Philbin hire. Ross might even get more respect around the league because of it. In any event, he probably should after this. The more I read and hear of Philbin the more I like him. This is a guy thats proud to be a Dolphin.

I was very impressed with his Press Conference. He was very assuring, yet also assertive. Hopefully it translates to the product on the field. I will give Ross credit if he succeeds.

at age 50 he can be a young don shula still lol

he actually reminds me of Tony Dungy in a way....I'm just talking about the way he talks, very calm but with a purpose...he knows where he wants to go with our team and that's a good thing.

Ozzy rules!!

I honestly wanted this hire. Let's see if I was right or if it will be another 5 seasons of misery.
