Philbin is not comfortable with Miami’s offensive line

Am i the only one who finds this article extremely alarming?

We just got rid of a former offensive line coach who wasnt satisfied with the talent of our line. We hired a former offensive line coach who isnt satisfied with the talent of our line.

And both think/thought we are fine at quarterback.

No one else is terrified?
As one very wise man said, "Be afraid, be very afraid."

We don't have a weak line.

We have a weakness at RT and to a lesser extent RG. The other three positions are solid.

You mean the spots that we havent used the first overall pick and 15th overall pick on are weak? The guard spot that we brought in multiple free agents and paid over 20 million dollars on is working out on a acceptable level?

Crazy.

I didn't say I was happy with the amount of money some of our starting OL earns or where they were drafted.

I was just saying they are good players and not areas of weakness. Jake needs to restructure yea, but he is still one of the best left tackles in the league ....

Never mentioned Jake Long's money. Was refering to Justin Smiley's payday and even hinting at the two contracts Richie Incognito has received.

The point is, we have dumped so many resources into those 3 spots they SHOULD be secured by now. Right guard and tackle should also be secured, especially after giving Vernon Carey a big contract, bringing in Marc Colombo(who even fans saw was truly awful but Ireland thought otherwise), and burning a third and fourth round pick on different players.
The fact that we are still trying to secure those spots is both hilarious and very sad.

Hmm Stevie Wonder said this line did not look good to him lol. Maybe he should have told Ireland to spend the money on winston instead of richard marshall

I mean we've been working on the OLINE for what four years? five years? and up until last years draft we had ONE spot solidified... now we have two, or at least we seem to have two...

i get a kick out of ppl being okay with the 3 holes we have on the OL, being filled by guys like incognito, murtha, thomas, or nate garner....

hey we are only a qb away lol

First honest truth out of our FO in I don't know how long ... what a breath of fresh air.

Don't have to run anyone down ... likewise, don't need to jaw problems aren't an issue ... just say your concerned & have to do better ... THAT'S ALL!! If any player beefs about that, challenge them to Show It on gameday!!

Meatball would have sai he loves our line and went into the season happy with them

Philbin made it clear during his talk with the media Tuesday morning that he’s not comfortable with Miami’s offensive line. And despite the re-signing of Lydon Murtha, and addition of Artis Hicks, Philbin’s still uncomfortable with the talent level and depth of the unit. It appears he’s not certain they – Murtha, Nate Garner, John Jerry, Ryan Cook, Ray Feinga – have the athleticism that he seeks. The possible signing of free ahttp://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2012/03/miami-dolphins-lessons-learned-at-the-nfl-owners-meeting.htmlgent guard Jake Scott might help address some of Philbin’s concerns, but it is clear the Dolphins aren’t done improving that unit.

Trade down if possible, draft Decastro baby!
