A few weeks ago I would have said McCoy would be my choice between the 2 but look at us now playing like this and humiliating McCoy and the Chargers. I still think he's a good coach but he looked clueless out there today and had no halftime adjustment to make.

respectively withdrawn, I was totally wrong

I was on the McCoy train even before they hired Philbin. But I have to admit this team has looked different since the Philbin/Tannehill debacle. Maybe Philbin does know what he's doing, and I'm gunna support him as long as he keeps the team winning.

And props to Stephen Ross for hiring the right coach. Clearly, Ross was not merely seduced by Philbin's binder. Philbin must have impressed during his interview.

As George Costanza would say, if Ireland wanted McCoy, then the opposite must be the correct choice.

I'd still take McCoy. San Diego's roster is nowhere near as talented as Miami's.

I would take McCoy in a second if we could also have our OC and DC. Well OC any way DC I could be flexible with. No accident that our best game of the season was when Joe was absent most of the week.

respectfully withdrawn

They really kicked ass at 9-7 to get that playoff berth huh?

When our team needed to win one of two games to get to the playoffs we choked. They got a window and they took it.

When it comes down to a season, you either make the playoffs or you don't. That is the purpose of the regular season. One coach secured that goal and the other flat out bombed. I care nothing about regular season wins if when given a chance to cash them in for a playoff berth, you fail.

typical punk

it is the truth, sorry to get your uterus in a bunch

tell me what is not true about my statement

Maybe that the Dolphins have seemed to be playing inspired football over the last month and this just felt like a continuation of the better parts of the last 4 games.

To be honest, McCoy got gifted Rivers and Gates.

Philbin started his career with a Rookie QB, Hartline and decent defense

Both were also not playing well when he took over the Chargers, they have had a resurgence since he became the HC.

I'm on a serious Dolphins high right now, but I still think Philbin is the weakest link on this team. McCoy got his asswhooped, but I'd still take him over Philbin. Though if having McCoy meant no Lazor? Then I think I'd rather settle for Philbin.
