We may go to the playoffs but we are not going farther, thus; we will RISK loosing Lazor to a HC job if we keep Philbin. I can think of lots of teams looking for a HC with a bright offensive mind and because teams won't need to wait too long to lure him, we will 90% lose him this offseason, unless....

We make him our new HC!!! Then, we could promote Benton to OC and look for a new DC. I think Coyle is outstanding as DB coach but the DC job is big for him.

We can't afford to lose our best offseason aquisition!

False. A. If we dont make playoffs he certainly wont be a hot commodity. B. He is an assistant coach so we can block him from interviews

I think you're a little premature here buddy. Lazor has been an oc for only a year. I doubt he's going to be getting calls for a hc job until he's shown a little more.

I believe Lazor will be a HC in the near future but not this near.

What he has done with Tannehill is impressive and this offense has lots of potential, teams like the Jets would take a chance on someone like him. Maybe he won't go but it wouldn't surprise me if he goes to a HC position next offseason

What makes you think a line coach who is a vet coach at the top of his profession yet has never been promoted can be an OC? Can he call plays? Does he know anything about receivers and coaching a qb?

Coyle has proven to be an above average DC, one bad game doesn't change that

As for Lazor, he still has a hell of a lot to prove

OK! Maybe this was my alter ego wanting to get rid off Philbin and making Lazor the HC!!!

Believe it or not, Lazor is here because of Philbin. We've got at least a few more years of this regime. And that makes me a happy man.

Wow! Slow down there partner. Lazor has been an OC for 11 games....we are not nearly at a point where he should be elevated to a head coaching job. Yes, the offense is better, but we only had one direction to go in. Lets let him get a little more experience under his belt before we anoint him to a head coaching job.
