The only incident I can think of was the "misunderstanding" with the cab driver last November.
 
you just gotta love the guy and of course, you need to give Ross some props too just like Philbin did at the end......sending a plane for him and his family was very nice of him. I feel better about our team than I have in years.

Impressive interview. I like what I hear. Marshall is not going anywhere.
 
Our questionable-charactered current players will likely be "grandfathered in" so long as they're performers like Marshall and that he's specifically referring to new players we consider bringing in.

As most every peer and player comment I've read about Philbin has gone out of their way to emphasize his own upstanding character, I'm inclined to take his words at their face value because it's not unreasonable to believe Joe would want the same in the players he'll be synthesizing into a cohesive team unit.

Similarly I think he is saying he is looking for the consummate "professional" athlete. He's partial to having individuals that hold themselves accountable; can be counted on; ones that look after themselves and others.
