Dude, I actually feel bad for Philbin in this spot. This thing snowballed in a way that NoONE could see coming. Philbin is in a lose/lose situation...
But when you are facing a rabid media, you need to give hem something and need to look in control. He blockaded them in a way that will cause them to tear him to shreds like a pack of rabid wolves... He wasn't prepared for some of the questions, especially the "did you think Martin was soft question"... It was obvious.
Tannehill, on the other hand, seemed much more in control and answered questions honestly and candidly without airing anything out that would jeopardize the investigation.
I understand a coach, not the President, and he shouldn't be answering questions from the like of CNN, etc. that's why I feel for him. This thing mushroomed on him, and unfortunately he will be a casualty in all this. Part of his job was to lead and control the team. The way this thing mushroomed, even if many aspects were out f his control, are a reflection of his inability to handle this role.
