Philbin Press Conference live in NFLN now

I keep warning you all about this guy and most of you are too stubborn to see through him. I told you all about his son doing prison time for raping teenage girls (yes plural). I have no doubt Philbin got to either the prosecutor or the judge to reduce the charge dow from rape to sexual assault and having his son only serve 6 months instead of 15 years. And now he is involved in hush money in another sexual assault? What do we have here,? A smaller version of Jerry Sandusky? Maybe that's why he kept Incogino. Incognito reminds him of his son.

That WAS the Most preposterous combination of drivel I have EVER heard!

hey Mods, someone makes a post like this why are they not banned??? Good God

i'll let incognito rub my genitals with a golf club and then rub his crotch on my ass while repeating "let it rain, let it rain" for a cool million

dependign on how much the pay-off was this unemployed girl probably lucked out when she volunteered for a gig where incognito was going to be drunk and stupid

That is what the women claimed happened in the police report. She also claims that there were witnesses, but I have yet to read or hear any reports from an eye witness. I have no doubts some kind offensive incident occurred, but it is very possible that it didn't go down exactly as she claims. The fact that she took a payoff and the fact that the NFL was informed of what happened and did nothing beyond whatever the Dolphins did makes me think that is the case. I could be wrong.

You guys should wait until all of this stuff comes out, after all this is your team, you should hope that this a lot of bunk, but it seems to me that y'all want this to be true so there could be something to talk about. Cogs will never play for Miami and you have mama's boy home with his mom, so what else do you want?

Oh man - we took immediate action - will be the line that blows this all up!! I think that sexual harassment story is what will get all of management fired in this.

If Incognito is guilty of what he is accused of, then that is beyond the jurisdiction of the Dolphins or the NFL. It is a criminal matter pure and simple. Philbin has nothing to do with it. I have seen no evidence that Philbin or the Dolphin organization covered up any evidence or hindered a police investigation.
If his alleged victim really believed she had been molested, she should have gone directly to the police. That's what I would have my daughter do. This is not a team issue as she was not a member of the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins and the NFL should only take action AFTER the criminal case is concluded and Incognito is found to be culpable.
Some of you guys, just seem to have it in for Philbin. Give it a rest already.

A Settlement was reached. A settlement is a settlement.

Incogs paid the woman I thought. The wording I have read lead me to believe Incogs paid. NFL said "no comment" on situation which means the NFL's azz in a sling here. follow? NFL did nothing about this situation.

It was Rothlisbergeresque dont you think? So It would seem to me that when NFL meets with Martin, they will seek to end this thing on good note for all involved and then it washes away everything tied to it. Media will be told to take a hike or else.

Either way, Incog is out. He aint comin back. From there, its whatever the league brings down but if a settlement happens, then all bets are off IMHO. A settlement is a settlement. Both parties walk away and League gets to go back to playing politics.

But it would seem to me that Incog proving his points in context could go a long way to save face for Dolphins to some degree.

and another thing, Incogs golf outing has nothing to do with bullying Martin.

and joe philbin can be as dull as he wants to be. smart if you ask me.

Thanks Nubs. Wow crazy. The fact the league did nothing definitely shines a bad light on the shield.

Probably because the woman didn't cooperate.

The alleged victim’s refusal to talk about the matter due to a confidentiality agreement strongly suggests that money changed hands to prevent either a lawsuit or the pressing of criminal charges.

Dude....would you stop? What in the world does his son's issues have to do with this? You keep posting this stuff.....enough!

The league is a bunch of Hippocrates and this will not be the end of the story....now it makes perfect sense why the leadership team did not like Philbin last yr as they lobbied for Chad reinstatement.....they new about the Richie issue and wanted Chad to get a second chance like Richie did......wow I'm losing respect for Philbin by the day and I don't even play for him, imagine how the players feel

As for the NFL they better have records of handling situations like this with other players or they can expect to have lawsuits filed against them, I know if I was a player who was found not guilty and had to serve a suspension because of the conduct policy I would get a lawyer to recoup that money.......

Is this the same son who died right before he interviewed with us?

What am I defending? The claim by some was that the Dolphins somehow had a cover up, they didn't. Those are he facts pal.

come on nub, the cats out of the bag, no need to continue defending the dolphins on this. There was a cover up which is why no one has heard about this for a year and a half. We are only hearing about it now because the media dugg deep to find any dirt on the dolphins to make the dolphins look even worse, thats why they do. Its standard operating procesure for the dolphins PR department, if theres an issue, they take necessary steps, give a couple of kickbacks $$ to whoever needs it and covers it up to protect the franchises image. Except this time it came back to haunt them. I respect your admiration n dedication to this franchise, but if after all that has come out you are still supporting this franchise its not a wise choice. The dolphins at this point have lost all public support and everyone around the country is disgusted with this team right now.

1. The cops were called and there is a police report
2. The NFL was informed of the incident
3. The issue was settled without any arrests or court dates
4. The NFL allowed the Dolphins to handle the punishment in house which most likely was a fine

This is not the steps of a coverup, this probably happened hundreds of times around the league. The only thing the Dolphins or the NFL didn't do was release a statement on it to the public. Everyone who needed to know did know. I am not blindly defending Incognito, Martin, the Dolphins or the NFL, but I will point out that the facts clearly dispute the notion that this was some major coverup, the proper steps were taken. You are just pissed the NFL didn't inform you of this incident. There are probably many situations this year around the NFL that were handled just like this that you don't know about.
