Philbin Press Conference live in NFLN now

we will just have to agree to disagree, as per the course on this site lol...

1. The cops were called and there is a police report
2. The NFL was informed of the incident
3. The issue was settled without any arrests or court dates
4. The NFL allowed the Dolphins to handle the punishment in house which most likely was a fine

This is not the steps of a coverup, this probably happened hundreds of times around the league. The only thing the Dolphins or the NFL didn't do was release a statement on it to the public. Everyone who needed to know did know. I am not blindly defending Incognito, Martin, the Dolphins or the NFL, but I will point out that the facts clearly dispute the notion that this was some major coverup, the proper steps were taken. You are just pissed the NFL didn't inform you of this incident. There are probably many situations this year around the NFL that were handled just like this that you don't know about.

It sounds like you're working backwards from, This front office and coaching staff did absolutely nothing wrong, this kind of thing happens in the NFL. Do you really not see any level of hypocrisy here or any effort to sweep this under the rug? You said yourself, they made sure not to make a public statement. Then how do we know that everyone who needed to know, actually knew? People are often kept in the dark in these types of situations.

They didn't release a statement because they had her sign a confidentiality agreement......it was a cover up until we know what his punishment was....and I hope the union demands to see how many other situations were swept under the rug or handled outside of the public and why

wow kid had some serious issues.....I think he committed suicide.

The woman was rubbed with a big bertha on her camel toe, martin rubbed his trouser trout on her caboose, and then dumped water on her head.
If she settled with him, the case is closed. It is on his transcript. No doubt that his social skills are neanderthal, especially when intoxicated, but on the football field he is a warrior.
Deep down, I think he is good guy and that he really would not harm anyone physically without good reason. Socially, the guy needs to be on a short leash.

Regarding any hypocrisy, cover up and the culpability of the team, of course it all happened. That is why the GM, coaches, all need to go.

Okay, so there's some more info about the golf episode in this thread. I made a recent post in another thread before learning of these details. Even if the league was informed, high level reporters should look into this matter. The Dolphins once again look bad. The damning press deserved at the time of the incident should be delivered now, in high doses, along with full questioning on how Incognito could reach levels of trust within the team and lockerroom after that incident. If the Dolphins want to play this game of silence and hiding details from the press, it needs to bite them until they return to the fan friendly organization of the early years.

Go Joe, we love you and f all those pricks....

Get a win and move on. there is always someone trying to bring you down...!

Ignore them all....

That would be the actual legal description I take it? Brutal. Warrior? I have to disagree calling pro athletes warriors seems like a melodramatic overstatement lauding pseudo bravery and highly choreographed heroism. But hey what do i know I'm half an idiot.
