Philbin put together an impressive packet for ross, ireland, peterson

Well looks like our idiot owner and ******* general manager eventually pcked the right guy and good luck Fisher, your heart was nver with us anyways...

For sure he seems very smart and prepared......for the first time in a long time I'm looking forward to the direction we're about to go in.

Ozzy rules!!

You would have said the same lame-*** crap no matter who these morons chose. We may have gotten lucky, but only because they didn't get the idiots they really wanted. We still have that moron Ireland selecting players...

The guy was obviously preparing to be a HC and that is something that I like...
Yeah, but it took his kid telling him he better go for this job for him to actually do it...that doesn't really make me feel very good about this guy. Wasn't he bright enough to realize that himself?

A coach who is organized, prepared, and has high yet realistic goals and expectations. So far he is what we want. Finger crossed that he is the real deal. After the HC experiences of the past decade we desperately need the home run hire.

Well for all their enthusiasm he clearly was not their first choice and Im glad they didnt try to sell us that bill of goods. Good choice in my opinion. Bowles or McCoy would have been epically bad moves at this time

As a USC fan I learned the first choice isn't necessarily the best. Pete Carroll was the fourth or fifth choice by most accounts and he brought USC back to prominence. I think sometimes when a coach isn't the first choice and he beats the odds, it shows how much he is willing to work to be successful.

I mean, well, he only loss his son to drowning a few days before. What idiot would let that stand in the way of interviewing for the Miami Dolphins job a few thousand miles away? [\SARCASM]

Funny how some can never admit when they are wrong about someone. Jeff Ireland will forgive you.

Right because I came on here advocating a particular coach. You don't **** about what I would have said, so you can you know what. Anywho, no matter what your reservations are, or ill will toward who runs this organization, they nail it, by choosing Philbin. So, you can kill yourself if you would like..

I take that with a grain of salt and I feel bad that you look at it that way and question how bright he is... You lose a child and you question everything... His child does not die and we offer that job he takes it without question... His entire family has to be uprooted for him to take this job, which means leaving the community support that they are already a part of... So yeah, he questioned whether he should do that and of course he should but that does not change his desire to be a head coach in this league. He just did what most parents would do...

I just got a copy of Tony's packet.
