Philbin imo seems to be happy with the roster finally has HIS guys that he wanted & wants on his team.

he seems enthusiastic about Parker & seems happy about this draft class.

I feel like we will turn the tables this year and be in the playoff's

what are your thoughts?

Cue gum wrapper jokes in 3....2....1....

He needs to make better in game decisions and the whole coaxing staff needs to make better half time adjustments before I give him a pass as above average. Right now, he is average Joe.

As long as he's learned from his time management goofs...I think he can get us over the hump this season

I think part of his problem has been lack of confidence in some of his players.
When he was hired, his strength was allegedly his organizational skills and his cerebral approach to the game. Perhaps he will shine when he can cut his players loose on the field and trust them to carry out what they are coached to do.

Nobody's perfect, we make mistakes and learn from them (well most of us). Has he learned anything from his blunders? Lets hope so

He removed all the players that intimidated him and replaced them with younger / new faces. He's probably more comfortable because of it.

I have little faith that that will happen. He will continue to be an average Joe.

Most def ...as a matter of fact, here's a picture of Philbin out on the town, dressed to the nines, sporting movie star shades and a Harpo Marx wig. Philbin is one chill dude.

Swag lol ok. We are stuck with him so can only hope for best. Ross should have made the change but he always a year later. Ross loves wasting money on extending guys that should be fired

the concerning thing about philbin is the players losing confidence in him. you have to be able to get guys to play for you. I think he's lost the team at times late in the year. philbin is probably very football smart, good tactician, was a liked coach in GB, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt there. he just doesn't seem to be that 'leader of men' type of guy. but hey, winning cures a lot.

I know Philbin is not the OC and probably Lazor has full control of the offense, but I have yet to see that "Up-Tempo" offense that we expected when we hired Billy. As a head coach and leader, Philbin should intervene.

On the defensive side of the ball, since some of you think that he is football smart, good tactician, he has no find a way to stop these 3rd string QB's + Geno Smith from having a field day on our defense.

In conclusion, I concur that he is "Average Joe" unless proven otherwise.

Honestly I don't think BB is a leader of men type. I think he's a creepy hooded weirdo. But he wins and gets the most out of his players. Harbaugh on the other hand was a leader of men for sure, but now is a leader of young men at Michigan. There are exceptions. Lets hope philbin is one of them.
