Like it or not, there is no way this gets blown up barring a complete meltdown at the end of the season.
I'm disappointed with the losses, but this is the most competitive and talented team that has taken the field in years. All Ross' advisors would not advocate changing the direction of this team nor should they. It would take some real concerning losses that show regression in the last five games to warrant a firing....
I wasn't the biggest Philbin fan, but if the team continues to show progression these last 5 games it would be stupid to fire him, playoffs or not

If we don't have another awful team-wide collapse like this team was apt to give us now and then in 2012-2013, then yes, he will be the coach in 2015.

He stays for sure 9 wins or better...
Collapse with 6 to 7 wins....I think he is out.

8 wins....not sure. I would lean that he does come back based on interpretation of what I think Ross thinks of Joe. However, I think he should go if he is .500 again.

He needs to sweep the jests :enforcer:

This is ALL that matters. :d-day:

7-9, 8-8, 9-7, it's growth. Not quick growth but growth, and we have a really solid staff from GM to OC. This team is playing at a high level. Like one said, barring a total meltdown like a 2-3 finish, this group is worth exploring for another year.

7-9 is not growth...please. That means they'd finish the season 1-5...give me break.

I agree. The biggest reason is to keep stability and bring back Lazor and Tannehill next season. I could see Coyle getting replaced but another good draft and free agent signings gets us into the playoffs.

You misunderstood. He meant 9-7 represents growth from 7-9 and 8-8 in the two previous years.

I'm starting to think he will stay as well, barring a total collapse. I still don't think he is a great game day coach and is limiting the team's potential because of that. However, I am softening a bit because I do believe he has a good vision for the team and does some organizational things well.

Ultimately though, I think Lazor saved his ass. If his boy Mike stayed here, Tannehill would probably be sinking and the whole crew would've been gone

I def. agree with you if they go 9-7.

I think if we dont make the playoffs regardless of our record and if Jim Harbaugh hits the market, hes gone. If Harbaugh doesn't hit the market, 9-7 or better he sticks.

Baring a complete implosion I am pretty confident Philbin stays.

Harbaugh is not coming to South Florida

No, I'm not changing it until the team makes the playoffs. If they miss the playoffs, it's mostly on Philbin for crummy game management in close games. I would want him gone if it didn't mean us losing Lazor and development of RT
