We have seen Philbin move player like Bush and Dansby, who did not fit into his type of player he wanted on this team. This off season he is again faced with making decisions on similar, to different degrees, players he should not want to keep in Matthews, Wheeler, Odrick, and Wallace.

Matthews and Wheeler are relatively easy choice to move as they have not contribute very much to the team. Odrick is good but a FA, no problem there. All three also have no negative cap implications.

Then we have the Wallace situation. He has most definitely contributed, and is most definitely a big negative cap implication.

What will Joe do? Live up to his established standards and move Wallace? Or, back off, losing some respect, and keep him?

Hard to see u tem winning in either decision. TUFF CALL.

What would you do?

I don't think it's a question of balls, man. Pete Carroll is a ballsy coach and he moved Percy Harvin with a quickness. He's moving on from Marshawn, who has been vital to that team's success. Bill Belichick dumped Randy Moss the second Randy decided to start opening his yap.

The real truth is that Wallace isn't griping to the press or doing stupid stuff off the field. He's actually become a cancer in the locker room, from the sounds of it. And now, if he's going to start showing bush league effort on the field or taking himself out of the game because he's not getting targets?

I'm sorry, I'd love to see them reconcile this thing, because MW is a good player, but there is no WAY you can make this a referendum on Joe Philbin. This is absolutely a referendum on Mike Wallace being an emotional child.

Philbin showed he had no balls when he wouldnt fire Sherman and was forced to by Ross.
So ya.. everything else follows the same pattern... no balls.

While I do agree with what you have said, it is still going to come down to Philbin's decision on keeping him or moving him. It's the same as Carroll, Mr Bill, and Chip Kelly with Jackson. The situations are different but, it is still up to a HC making a choice on what to do.

I'm just saying, I won't blame Joe if we move on. I blame Joe for a lot of things, because I don't think he's a good coach, but on this one, what can you do?

A player created a situation. We heard earlier in the season that the quarterback was 'managing' his receivers to try to keep things from getting ugly. We can now safely assume that the receiver who needed to be managed was MW. And here we are...

As long as we don't pull an Ireland and ship the guy off without a plan to replace him, then I'm 100% fine with cutting the cancer.

Again, I agree. We blame him for far too much which is not his fault, such as the O and D which are mostly on Lazor and Coyle but, easier for some to target Joe.

I will applaud him for moving on, not blame him, as he will be sticking to his guns. My only question is if he will do it.

not sure what Philbins eggs have to do with anything.

They will be scrambled or, sunny side up, depending his decision. :)

why do you still doubt this when this is what was reported everywhere. why doesnt this connect the dots for you? its exactly what happened. even in his press conference about it he was so regretfull about it.

I don't question his balls, I know he was fixed years ago and he has none.

LOL....I thought the same thing.....Philbin's Eggs???

Regarding Philbin and Wallace, I think it comes down to what actually happened just before halftime. If Wallace did in fact refuse to play, that is way different than being benched for getting mouthy and would result in two different outcomes in my mind.

I realize the easy thing to do is blame it on Philbin, but this issue is owned by Wallace. If he had a beef, there is a proper and improper way to handle it and he appears to have chosen the right path.

Also, when this happened, this game was very winnable. Mike Wallace's actions hurt not only his own reputation.....but 52 other players who are all playing hard and trying to win the football game. As a fan, I'm extremely disappointed and irritated that our season ended this way and we will be hearing about this little drama all winter. If I was a player, I would be really pissed that this guy put his own needs above those of the team and at least partially contributed in their loss.

Philbin is not liked we get it but not everything is his fault.
