According to Kimbo on the local pregame, Philbin is the 2015 coach as of now. However, if he does not win the last two, it is a different story. He has been on the money for a long time on Phins news.

I think that is accurate. My issue is if he is 8-8 and is brought back. That is not a good look. I think Joe is a bad coach, but I could support him back with 9 wins.

Thats probably accurate....what a crappy situation for Dolphin fans the next two weeks if you want Philbin out.

If they beat Minnesota you have to root for the Jets to take Philbin out?

If he stays...the Dolphin will probably improve next year with holes filled....but can this guy coach up his players for big games?....I don't think so....and we are probably looking at never reaching greatness with him.

How do rationalize that you think he is a bad coach.....but you could support him coming back?

That is illogical.

I think the proof will be in the next two weeks and takes care of itself. If they play hard and well….and win, it could be sold he should return. If they look like garbage, Ross has to jettison him.

Vikings are winning today. Bridgewater is going to have a good day and our run defense is horrible.

I agree, he has to win the next 2 games in order to have a legitimate shot at staying next year. If he loses to either below .500 teams these last 2 games, its going to be tough to see how he remains coach next season. Especially when you look at the last 2 games of the 2013 season, with bad loses to the Bills and Jets to close out the season with the playoffs hanging in the balance.

Dolphins seem to play well in meaningless games and should not have any weight in whether he stays or not.

There has been enough games played to determine his future. He should have been fired last year for not winning one of two games at the end. 9-7 and no contention for playoffs is worse than 8-8 and missing out on the playoffs.

The legacy of Joe Philbin is a team that falls flat when they need to be at their best and the game (or a playoff berth) is on the line. Even if they go 9-7 (which they won't) he should still be fired. However, Joe really seems to be a nice guy, so I'd give him the opportunity to resign and save face.

Kimbo said that 7 or 8 wins will not keep Philbins job. That makes perfect sense to me.

Now, the question is IF players play for him these last two weeks. That will tell the final tale.

Sun Life Stadium about 10 minutes before kickoff. Late-arriving crowd or no-arriving crowd? #Dolphins

Welcome to Sun Life Stadium, the land of the orange seats.

If this is true, it's par for the course. The owner is a total boob. Mediocrity reigns. This coach is absolutely not cut out for it.
