Philbin's Stamp on This Team

I don't see this as a such a disaster as most on these boards do. Dude has a heavy salary and is borderline crazy. Sparano let him do his own thing last year and there is no way that would be acceptable with a new staff. Chicago knows what that getting and I'm sure Bates/Cutler vouched for his services.

I don't think its a bad move either. I still say that trading for Marshall > drafting Dez. But, that is the past. Are the internet rumors true that Peyton did not like BM? If so, Does this clear the way for Peyton & Reggie?

Marshall gone is Philbin all the way. He said he wants good football players, keep good football players, and with high character.
addition by subtraction.

Agreed. The character issue is another reason they won't IMO draft Coples. The lax attitude & questionable character may be hand in hand. I'd much rather have Ingram, Cox, or Perry than Coples.

If this trade means in some way the phins end up w/ Zeitler then I'll be ecstatic.

I'm sure Coach Philbin had some say in the matter. I'm not upset that they traded Marshall. Any grown man that uses a BS disease to make excuses for his immaturity issues needs to be shown the door. What upsets me the most is the compensation in return. Two 3rd round picks just don't cut it.

hate the move.....another position we now have to fill. Could have gotten more then just 2 3rd rounders for B. Marshall. Day one of free agency definitely was disappointing for me.

This isn't a monastery is football we need talent, I don't care if the players kill people, beat wives, burn hospitals etc etc... I want talent.

Ross brought in Philbin for many reasons. Several of tose reasons have to do with Philbin bringing in "The Packer way" of doing things. If BM needed to go, I'm ok, even for 2-thirds. I'm behind Philbin, I'm giving him control.
