Phillip Rivers- charger fans don't like him, but we want him.

we don't need to trade for another teams QB we should just draft one on our own next year...lets get our own guy instead of getting someone else's who didn't pan out

interesting stuff...

could we be in a position next offseason where we give up a first day pick for a 3rd string QB?

yeah, we could draft one, and hope he is good three years from now, wereas if we trade for Rivers, one complete year in the system backing somebody up, and he should be ready to go next year...

does sound familiar... although Rivers' credentials are better than AJ's.

Rivers is quite a bit more accurate than A.J. to say the least but Sage should get a chance. He won in 2002 for the Redskins QB competition but Ramsey was a 1st rounder, and Spurrier really wanted to keep his two boys Matthews and Woeful so he was traded here. His problem is similar to A.J. though in starting down receivers however he can move.

Maybe, you also wonder if Rivers isn't getting sick of wasting his career on the bench and trying to force the Chargers hand into dealing him.

draft one next year...yea, im really looking forward to going 4-12 again....plus to get the #1, we would have to compete with tenn, and SF, who will both prob. go 1-15, or 2-14 at best...i dont mean to be a kicd, but its soooo early in the year, i can not look 4ward to next years draft already....look, is trading a 2nd or 3rd for patrick ramsey good enough? if so, then i would easily give a first for rivers...if some guys want to trade a 2nd for volek, then why not just draft rivers now(ie: give up that 1st rounder) atleast he has some experience in the bfl, unklike lienhart, vince young, or omar jacobs....
