It is suprising to me we don't here more about Phillip Rivers. With Young entering the draft, the rise of Cutler and most teams with no qb(like us) picking before us, his price may drop drastically. Also, Saban has "ruled him out due to lack of athleticism and arm strength", similar to the Phins having no communication with Ronnie the last month or so before the draft. Just a thought..

well he doesn't have a good arm and he's not athletic at all. i hope we don't get him

Rivers is like a new car you overpaid for and it rapidly depreciates the minute you drive it off the lot. SD you bought it and you own it. I wouldn't give more than a 2nd rd pick.

re:

I think Rivers is talented. But, out of all the QB's that will be f/a's and that are in the draft....I think we could do better. I think a team like the Lions might go after him....Rivers for one of those 3 #1 WR's?

that actually makes sense, and would certainly make millen look great (temorarily anyway, until rivers really starts to suck)

Philip rivers is a duck.............................ha.......................................ha

Not many teams are high on Rivers, there must be a reason for it.

In college he had a really odd 3/4 release (almost a 1/2 release), perhaps this combined with a lack of arm strength makes him a question QB in the NFL.

in the words of a legion merc 40 " the qb s are not always better throwing the ball just because they are mobile " remember Jay feidler? the truth is #18 mr. sage the top gun of miami's offense is more like dan then most people would beleive.

Alot of teams passed over marino and he turned out pretty damn good and Brees fell all the way to the second round, so you cannot judge talent by what other teams are satying all the time. Plus why talk up a guy and raise his price.
