A six-pack of Dolphins notes on a Tuesday:

▪ And so Jordan Phillips, with his dismissal Tuesday, now joins the long list of Dolphins second-round washouts, a group that includes such luminaries as John Beck, Pat White and Daniel Thomas.

The Dolphins’ second-round failures this century are one of a zillion reasons why this franchise has been lost in the wilderness, and here are the raw numbers:

Since 2002, 9 of the Dolphins’ 14 second-rounders (excluding too-soon-to-judge Raekwon McMillan and Mike Gesicki) were disappointments or busts. That’s unacceptable.

Totally agree. If you are not hitting 70% in the first two rounds. you should be fired!(hint:T-Dumb are you listening) Hopefully Grier can change course. Although I put the pick of Charles Harris on Grier's plate. Hopefully Harris will improve, but it doesn't look promising.

Throw Tank in there they were considering him in the first round and McMillian does not look like 2nd round material yet.

I didn't get the hype on here or anywhere else when McMillian came out. Hope he starts to get it. Baker looks like the better backer right now.

Philip Merling was more productive than Jordan Philips. Another so called physical freak. I am so tired with this infatuation of "physical freaks". It rarely correlates to solid football player.

I will remember this when they move on in 2 years from both these picks.

They are both on schedule for it right now. 2019 better be worlds different
