I see a lot of negative comments about the trade with Philly and on the surface I can see why. But many people have no idea WHY Maxwell may have struggled in Philly. Was he in a scheme that fits his skillset? Was the pressure on the QB inadequate (which this guy seems to suggest) etc..... Kiko Alonso is coming off of an injury... just like Brent Grimes was when we signed him and that seemed to work out. Fine. Even playing hurt last year, I think Kiko was better than Sheppard. So that's an upgrade.

we can cut Maxwell next year and Alonso is in the last year of his deal.

If they dont work out, if they do . . We have a restructure in place for maxwell and kiki is a rfa.

So plenty of options
 
you can't judge this trade yet.. let's see how kiko and maxwell play, then consider who we took at 13 and who we could have had at 8 and THEN we can see if this worked out or not. next year we can argue about this trade with some stats and names to go with it...
