Here's a great thred put up by Dashall2 over on the finsided.com.

Cam's catch vs Ravens (00's)

Marino's fake spike (90's)

Harris to Nathan-hook & lateral (80's)

Scott's int at the goal line in SB VII (70's)

Something entirely different?

I don't know how to set up a poll. If anyone wants to, it would be a good thing. :)

How about the Preseason "Statue of Liberty" play by Trent Green when RB Jesse Chatman took the Statue of Liberty-style handoff....

The fake spike game was beyond awesome, I remember watching in awestruck disbelief, remember that was the first time it was done, and capped one of the most amazing comebacks I've ever seen.

It was not the first time it was done but, is my favorite play. I recall Peyton doing it. However, for "best" play, I have to go with Scott or Cam. They made history, or avoided it.

For me, there are a few not on that list.

+The play where Clayton caught the long ball from Dan while on his back.

+The play to end the Colts playoff game in OT when Lamaar Smith had just a PUNISHING run to the endzone to end the game, literally, and, I mean literally seconds after I told my freind on the phone how much I'd like to see a long run to win the game. I pulled my left hammy and got a pinched nerve in my right shoulder from going absolutely bat-****, house on fire crazy.

+The 4th down play opening day vs the Pats where Dan went over the top to Clayton (IIRC). If I'ver ever seen sheer force of will at the QB position tip a game, it was that game and, on that play

+The play where Jim Jensen caught a pass from Marino. I was there in the Hoserdome to see it live :)

+Lamaar Smith vs the Lions where he went right behind Todd Wade and nearly crippled a Lions defender on the goal line for the TD.

+Ginn's catch on the Flea Flicker vs Seattle. I said it in the gameday thread at the time. "That may be the best Miami Dolphins play I've ever seen". Penny completely ignored a wide open Cam to go 40 deep to Ginn and put it perfectly in. Increadible concentration by Ginn.

+Merling's INT of the screen from Farve. So....Oh so much to love. I was ****hammered when it happened, breaking my normal rule of not drinking during Dolphins games, and I think I watched that play about 100 times.

nothing beats Dan's fake spike, the Jets were destroyed for years, the coach was fired, that play sent the Jets back to the stone age.... where they belong.

for '08, it's phil merling's interception for a touchdown, hands down

for '07 it's camarillo's OT touchdown catch

OH! I forgot to mention, Trace Armstrong sacking Doug Flutie on about the three yard line to ice a Miami win in the "Flutie Flakes" game.

Oh, my dear lord the howls of the Bills fans about how JJ "Stomped all over Flutie's kids" BWA HA HA HA! Absolutely priceless that one was.

That Merling play was SOO SPECIAL. I do not know of many DE's who could have done that. He will impress this season, too much talent not to.

When Porter, Taylor, and Wake all sack Tom Brady at the same time making him scared s***ist for the rest of the game making it easy for the rest of the team to get sacks, force fumbles, and interceptions.... Oh wait that has not happen yet.:kick:

JT did that by himself. Who here cannot remember Brady yelling and screaming at his OL when JT owned them and him? FRAKIN PRICELESS!

MAY HISTORY REPEAT.

I loved all of those plays, but I think that particular play was to Irving Fryar.

Both are nice one or everybody i dont want to see tom just yelling and screaming, i want him looking stupid. Even more stupid then he did in Super bowl.

I don't remember who it was against or when it happened but Mark Duper caught a rediculous pass by Marino..... The ball was thrown high and Duper was just a little late getting up into the air and he just managed to snag it on like the back quarter of the football with his fingertips. How he caught that ball I will never know, he must have had some serious stickem on his fingers.
