just saw on nfl live that we are one of the teams interested in torry holt along with jax., tenn. and carolina..this is according to john clayton..

john clayton also said tenn. is the most interested in holt..said he wants to get a good contract but also wants to be on a winner..

Old news, but I doubt Parcells is going to pick up an aging receiver. We've heard it time and again, he's building for the future. Of all the trades and free agent pick ups we've made so far this offseason, I don't think any of them have been in their 30s. Torry will be 33 when the season starts. If Torry was 5 years younger, then it'd be a great pickup. But seeing as he's approaching the dawn of his career, I doubt very much he'll be in a Phins uniform anytime soon.

I'd call it more like the "dusk" of Holts career... jus playin, i knew what you meant.

At the right price, I would love him. I don't see us winning a money war though!

Coach already said at the combine he is only interested in adding a WR via the draft. Holt will not be a Dolphin.

If he were 5 years younger, he wouldn't be available as a free agent. And, oh yeah, our best FA pickup last year was over 30 years old. And Yeremiah Bell just turned 31 and we gave him a big contract this year. Yes, I agree that we need to build through the draft and try to keep it young in FA, but an older guy here or there, especially when its a guy like Holt, they can end up being an important cog in the machine.

im sorry but if he wants to go to a winner jax is outta the question, and that really leaves him with miami or Tenn. Both have tough divisional teams in the Pats and Colts. If he wants a shot then he should pick the team with a very good QB not a washed up "game manager" with Tennessee.

Absolutely would like the guy for the right price. What phin fan wouldn't want this guy mentoring our young WR's?

I like Clayon as a reporter, but too often he'll throw a team name out there as "being interested" in someone because HE perceives they have a need at that position. It's a way of putting a little money down on a longshot in case it pays off. I'm sure they all do it, but I especially notice it with him.
