Ehh, I guess what he is trying to say is, that we were an 8-8 team last year and it's absurd to rank us 31st since the team wasn't gutted or anything.

Well in ESPN's mind unless you have a star player, or loudmouths on your team, they aren't going to talk about you. Remember the year we traded for Brandon Marshall coming off a year Chad Henne showed promise? They gave us multiple segments and gave a lot of props.

At the end of the day, all the national media knows about us is that we are a team that had 2 bad losses at the end of the year coming off of BullyGate with a completely new OL.

Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney, and Dana Jacobson gave us props though on CBS Sports Radio today. They said they expect big things from Ryan Tannehill, but said the OL could hold us back.

Of course remember this about ESPN, and it's been confirmed by a few of their former employees, but in a lot of cases the suits tell them what they have to say and aren't allowed to give a true opinion. Doug Gottlieb admitted one of the main reasons he was so quick to jump from ESPn (beside being offered March Madness coverage with CBS) was that they constantly forced him to talk the Pats and Tim Tebow on his radio show. I also know SVP and Ryan Rusillo (who are still on ESPN Radio) complained about being forced to talk about that stuff and SVP had to be given control over his content in contract negotiations for ESPN to keep him.

Its a shame how little coverage we get. People say win and they'll talk about you yet the Bucs, Jags, Bills, Raiders, Titans, and Rams(won less games than us) have all been covered for what seemed to be long segments while we haven't been on at all.

I hate when people say "start winning and they'll get covered more" because out of state fin fans might just want to hear some updates on their team....there's no reason we have to listen to 4 idiots sitting around talking about how big tom bradys dick is for ten minutes but I can't hear or see an update on our new offensive line for 30 seconds...

Look, TV is all about ratings. Those are driven by winning, big media markets, and scandals.

We have been mediocre to poor for a long time with he occasional good year--like when Tom Brady was injured. We are in a division with two of the biggest markets in the NFL--New York and Boston.

With the Boston team carrying the entire New England market and on a long streak of winning seasons and trophies. The New York team has a quote machine as coach and he encourages his players to mouth off too. Naturally we are going to get less coverage than them.

Be glad we have no scandal. Until we start winning and building up a large sports following in this area and drawing back fans from the Heat, Bucs and Jags, we aren't going to have much coverage.

Don't worry. Just think Packers are a solid team with a star in Rodgers (best in NFL by my standerds) and you really don't hear about them either. There is just no much to talk about when it comes to Miami right now. Until Miami wina string of 4-5 games in a row it will be that way.

i havent seen us get a sniff on nfl networks 9 hours per day tc coverage...not a sniff in 3 days...i buzzed thru all that garbage stuff they have been covering each of the last 3 nights...nothing...figured sunday when we were off there would be nothing but nothing any other day either

Ok.... Explain why in 7 hours of coverage on my PVR on NFL Network, they had Browns, Browns and more Browns, witha splash of Redskins, Eagles and Pats??

Think I will take this thread to give you some Bills news for some comparison.

Listening to Shope & The Bull this morning who is the team who covers the Bills on 550am things are not all that great in Buffalo.

The Bull guy said he cannot give EJ Manuel a "good" yet. He talked about one set of downs where he dumped off to Fred Jackson twice and both times going downfield he was off his mark. One he said should have been picked if the DB was in better position.

Also that Kouandjio is looking like a 7th rounder while Seantrel Henderson is looking more like a 2nd rounder. I found that interesting. Also Cordy Glenn has been out for some time with an undisclosed illness. I don't know about you but that has to be some kind of serious illness.

Pretty much the defense is ahead of the offense most all of the time. While watching NFLN you hear this a lot with many teams.

I just think the problem in south florida is the media is just so negative that you tend to think we are bad and no one else is that way. Then you have prognositcators say that Jets/Bills are ahead of us....well, they've been saying that for years.

Today was a VG example. I see Dolphins live camp coverage, and have to watch. They start with the Jets and a good interview with Ryan on Decker being a #1 without Peyton, Geno being ranked #32 but, #2 behind Peyton in the last month, and him saying he is going to be top 5. I HATE the Jets but, it was some good stuff.

Now, the Dolphins. A reporter talking on Bullygate with an old clip on Martin, the OL is revamped after giving up 58 sacks, RT has to improve under Lazor, and Philbin needs to improve as per what Ross said. And then, back to the studio for insight from Herm, who says he doesn't know if Tannehill will be elite but, you can win games with him. WTF, I took some time off work fo things which have been beaten to death, and much better, on this forum days and months ago. Hard to believe.
