Phins moves eerily similar to disastrous 2007 season

I think somebody here point out similarities already and were greeted to chants of "worst thread ever".

Not ONE person knew how Cam and/or Green was going to perform prior to the 2007... So I give applaud to this writer for putting the two situations in perspective..

where do ppl come up with this ****?? This is like one of those stats- the Dolphins have never won in Philly on a sunday after more than 1 foot of snow fell in ohio.

I don't think the situations are the same. A similarity or two? I'm sure you could make the case for two seasons looking "the same" pretty easily

How would we know exactly? Dude's been holding a clipboard since high school.

He must be pretty good if he did this while on the sidelines holding a clipboard

No. 2 LSU danced, dodged and darted its way into the end zone Monday night, turning the BCS national championship game into a horrible replay for No. 1 Ohio State. It was over early, with Matt Flynn throwing four touchdown passes in the victory.

lol ya I don't see it. Philbin didn't just work with Flynn, he basically watched and helped the kid grow up in the NFL.

Now if Philbin decides to take a pre-season game off so one of the other coaches can be ready to HC a game because Cameron may have a family emergency during the reg-season, that's when I'll start to think Philbin may be like a Cam Cameron.

Cam Cameron's issue was he wasn't a leader of men. There's no way anyone knows at this point if that's the case with Philbin. If the writer wants to connect imaginary dots, well I think that's more telling of what is inside the writers heart, rather than imaginary coincidences.

bull****. comparing trent green to flynn? unless i miss my guess, flynn isn't prone to giving himself concussions.

Well, in fairness to Green, Im not sure you can call him concussion prone based on that hit. I was half surprised he was still alive.

Wes Welker wasn't our best WR at the time, Chris Chambers was. Of course, we promptly traded him too. Maybe this is similar.

If we lose our starting QB, MLB, HB, SS and probably more for most of the year, then Ill be concerned we're about to repeat history. How do you expect to win when Cameron WOrrel is starting at safety and cleo lemon/john beck are manning the QB spot with Lorenzo Booker getting serious playing time at running back. That was a nightmare!

And the reason why Beck/Lemon were starting at QB was because the new regime almost did a clean sweep of that position, except for 3rd stringer Lemon. It seems to me like this regime wants to do the exact same thing just for the sake of change, which is fine when talking about Henne but Moore's stretch run last year doesn't merit being thrown out.

Look at the list of people we talking about for QB, now it's not necessarily Flynn/Manning but instead Aled Smith, DAvid Garrard, and god knows who else. Change for the sake of change is what lead us to 2007, and at least on the offensive side of the ball it seems like all we are doing is the exact same thing.

"Hey, let's turn those thumbs around!!"

I don't seriously believe Garrard is being looked at as a starter. This could be our back up if we go into the season with Moore and a rookie (maybe a guy like Tannehill that has no business seeing the field for a few years).

The 2007 season would have been a lot better if Trent Green didn't go down in the very first game of the season.
