Why does everyone just "assume" Turner is any good? Hmm? I would not just be relaxing on either guard! If we go into the season with this lineup, we are officially screwed.

Exactly . Who the hell are these "sources" lol rumors you read on the bleacher report written by 15 kids who've played madden for one year ?

Please someone put up the definition of "reliable" so that we don't have this bull**** going on anymore
 
IMO, guard is our biggest need. If we don't sign a quality FA guard, we're going to have to spend a day one or two pick on one, which nobody wants to do because of how much talent there is at skill positions in this draft.

#1 was Hickey saying that he expected Turner to start. #2 was Jackson's article saying that the team has told Smith that they are keeping him, and giving him a second chance to be a starting OG.

For me, that pretty reliable but, guess you have something better to dispute that. Can't wait to see what it is, and your opinion is very far from counting.
 
way too early to make this kind of definitive statement/assumption and fox didnt even sign for enough to guarantee him a spot on the 53

How does that in any way mean it's set? Do you really expect Hickey to say anything at this point? "Uh, yes...we want to sign Orlando Franklin and draft Brandon Scherff...but please don't tell anyone cause that would kind of hurt our ability to get those guys". Get serious SB, any GM worth a darn (and even some that aren't) won't tell you a single thing about what's happening. They're words are very calculated.

How does saying who you have interest in a FA affect anything. Teams already know, and there is no advantage in being secretive.

Telling Smith he is staying, and not cutting him is somewhat different. Actions go with what you have said. The draft is different but, we are a ways away from that.

Again, what makes you think differently?

No you dont. There are plenty of 3rd rounders who will be great.
