I know this year a lot more Phins games will be televised, but I want to be able to watch all of them without having to go to a sports bar, so I'm thinking about getting NFL Sunday ticket for next season. For those that have it, what are your thoughts? Is it worth it? Also how are the weather issues?

I had it last year, and thought it was worth it, but you're right there will be more games on TV this year. I'm still contemplating too. The price went up again, from last year, and I have a couple of bars that televise all the games. However, I've got two kids & the wifey works some weekends, and it's kind of a pain to get a babysitter, so I'll probably end up getting it again. Direct TV can fade out with stormy weather, but it's rare. I say get it, if you've got to see every game like me.

Do you know how much it costs by any chance?

i just ordered mine the other day, and if you are new its basically free, the offer is:
1) sunday ticket all season
2) all the premium channels for 4 months
3) HDTV for 4 months
for $66 for 4 months, after the 4 months you go to regular programing, it cost nothing to join, and set up is free, im paying $100 a month right now for digital, and im not getting anything thats worth it,
im happy with the switch.

i live in rochester and the weather here speaks for itself.
i have never had an issue in 12 years!!!!
well worth the cost

i have had the sunday ticket for 7 years and there is no way i could live without it!!! here in tennessee we get all titan games on sundays locally, but with the ticket i can watch my fins every sunday. i HIGHLY reccommend directv to ANYONE who is a football fan and wants to watch THIER team play.

I bit the bullet and got it last year... lemme tell ya it pays for itself in spades. An average trip to the sports bar runs me about $25 per game when you factor in (over priced) food, beverages, and tips. The Ticket allows one all the creature comforts of home, choice over weather to hear the announcers or not, and the ability to flip to any game of your choosing on a whim.

It's a no brainer!

I have it and really like it. For me, there's not much better than being able to watch the game in the comfort of my own living room. And the investment, while it may not be cheaper, it's not completely lost either. The sports bars around me require that I spend around $10 on Sundays during the season. While generally that's not too much of a problem, it is greater than $0 that I pay at home. And I have to hope that I get a good seat around the TV showing the Fins game.

As far as the weather, I have had some issues with thunderstorms and really heavy rains -- the kind that we get at this time of year (those of us in the southeast really know what I'm talking about) . During the season though, I don't recall any issues. Just make sure you have clear shot of the southern sky (no trees).

Had it since 1997 and it was the best investment I have made. So sweet watching all the fin games. Living in Jet and Giant country that's all I got. Reception is great even in rain and snowstorms.

It is absolutely worth it over a sports bar. Your tab every sunday will add up to more than the expense of Sunday Ticket. Unless that is, your real cheap and avoid ordering anything.

oh man it is soooo worth it. me and my dad got it last year. we live in VIRGINIA and all CBS ever shows is the RAVENS and all FOX shows is the REDSKINS... give me a break. i loved knowing the fact that i got to see every ronnie brown carry or every chris chambers catch ... it was awesome

NFL Sunday Ticket and MLB Extra Innings are the reason to have DirecTV. Its the best.

Ugh, I live in philadelphia, and it's all eagles *nfc* and the pittsburgh steelers, which i can't stand to watch is always the afc game. I never seee the phins unless it's primetime.

None the less, i am waiting for my direct tv guy to come some day this week and get me started!.

Its worth it bcuz not only you get to watch your Fins You also get to trck down your fantasy players. Plus its a hell of a lot better than watching browns games
