Phins QB - Rodney Dangerfield aka Matt Moore

But if we don't get Peyton, which QA available is proven better than Moore? Is Flynn REALLY that much better than Moore that we be worth the money we would have to pay him?

I am not a huge fan of Flynns tell you the truth but I do think he can better then Moore. Moore has a very low ceiling with huge issues with his game. Flynn has a higer ceiling.

Honestly tell you the truth If we are going to roll with Moore I rather run with Tannenhill, but I rather Weeden over all of them.

If Tebow can get a team to the playoffs, Moore DEF can get a team there too.
Exception to the rule, some teams just go on runs like they did and then reality sets in. Den knows that their luck most likely ran out and they do not want to roll with Tebow again.

Moore turns the ball over more than Tebow does though.

Moore uplifts bad teams he has been saddled with; Flynn, with his offensive juggernaut behind him went 1-1 in the years his teams won a combined 78% of their games. Moore looked as promising as Flynn over the 08 and 09 season, had a game vs Favre's playoff-bound MN every bit as good if not more impressive than Flynn's loss vs NE, and did it on behalf of 2 sub-par Carolina teams. It is what it is. That's not to say that Flynn won't turn out to be a star, even against better DBs than he's faced and even with more modest offensive tools to work with. But the point is, in perspective, Moore has done more with less and if you want to label him a "career backup" with his 13-12 record on behalf of the teams for whom he's played, there's absolutely no confidence that after 25 games, the impression of Flynn won't be the same or lower.

Lies, damn lies, and statistics. He blew chunks in 2010 and was part of the only QB tandem (along with Jimmy Clausen) in the past 10 years to give Steve Smith a down year. Remember, the Panthers gave up Delhomme because they thought Moore was the next best thing. Turns out all it did was get them the true next big thing in Cam Newton, who got Steve Smith back to 1,000-yd territory.

With Washington trading up to get RGIII it's now Peyton or bust IMO. Flynn is not worth the $7-8M he's asking nor do I think he's better than Matt Moore. If we don't get Peyton we should stick by Moore. There's potentially four first round QBs next year with Matt Barkley, Landry Jones, Tyler Wilson, & Tyler Bray (if he declares).

You're on crack if you think Landry Jones is first-round material.

Don't count on Tebowmania repeating itself next season. It's Wildcat 2.0.

Your all talking about getting an elite QB when there isnt even one on the market. PM and hes not coming here.We passed on drew brees twice. so who do we get? seriously who at this point is an upgrade over moore. Tannehil? Flynn? most of these guys havnt started an nfl game and you guys want flynn just cause he threw a 6 TD game were his recievers were making unbelievable plays for him. You all want another QB not named moore so it could fit into your agenda that moore sucks. Moore is average and average is not acceptable. But if we dont get manning or give up the Farm for luck moore is our best option. You all talk about all the different QB's we've had over the decade but most call for a new one every season. Were not gonna get an " Elite" QB in free agency or in the draft this year so please stop with the Elite nonsense.

Elite has been available every year since this ****ty Regime took office but they have chosen the safer option always.

I have always said this since day 1. I rather them swing and miss badly on an elite QB then swing and miss badly on an average QB.

Really? starting 5 games, 4 of em post-concussion, he still won half of their games for a miserable team with a lame duck, non caring HC. An upgraded version of that team with a gung ho new coach, Olsen and Shockley among others, still produced an equivalent 1-5 and 2-8 record for the great Cam Newton. Who's to say Moore wouldn't have done the same thing for a worse team if not substituted for Clausen, the flavor of the month? I know, it's convenient for your agenda to overemphasize 2010 while minimizing everything else. Too bad those 5 starts only represented 20% of all his starts, and even then, included a 308yd win. But keep on keepin on

You know who you sound like? You sound like Wanny, who parleyed a 13-9 upset win over West Virginia into three years of disappointing football and missed opportunities at Pitt. Matt Moore had a single 300-yard game against a sorry 49ers team in 2010, whoop-dee-doo!

Also, it doesn't change the fact that Steve Smith had a better year with Cam Newton than he did with Matt Moore. You're talking like the 6-10 record was Newton's fault, when everyone and their mother know it was because of a porous defense. Say, what was Peyton Manning's record as a rookie again, 3-13? Maybe the Colts should have just stuck with a washed-up Jim Harbaugh.

and you're conveniently ignoring the good things he's done for bad teams including ours the other 80% of the time. Don't start agenda-based parsing like junc.

Whatever, Mr. Ross. Keep f**king that chicken.

while this thread/topic has been a lot of fun discussing we need to chill with any personal attacks. Now lets keep chatting why Matt Moore is only an average QB. :)
