I have gone on record saying we will go .500 atleast. I dont think its very far-fetched at all.

Our rushing attack should be a top10 in the NFL guaranteed...likely top5. With Ricky weve never had a losing season...and no 07 does not count. The guy is TOO DAMN good. He commands respect for the running game...and with Brown and our new and improved line we should be a force to be reckoned with.

We also have Chad Pennington...a game manager, who will not turn the ball over. We have not had that presence since (I had to say it) Jay Fiedler.

We've got a deep threat in Ted Ginn Jr that will make BIG plays when the DEF stacks against the run.

Bottom line...our O has been significantly improved

Our defense despite what people think is still going to be very good this year...as bad as we were last year other than the Pats tearing up our 2ndary we did a good job against the pass and I expect that to continue, especially with Bell back. Porter is back in his proper role and I expect Parcells/Pasquereli's defensive genius to put all these guys in positions to make plays...weve seen alot of sacks this preseason and im liking it.

The unit im MOST looking forward to is our SPEC teams...Parcells put ALOT of emphasis on them this offseason...and im already seeing drastic results. With Ginn/Bess returning we could field one of the top units in the league if our blocking is decent.

The PERFECT comparison is the 06 Saints. They OVERHAULED their entire team...what was it, 45% of the roster was new? I just heard in the finale last weekend that we have overhauled the same %. We have a DUO at RB that I believe has MORE talent than Bush/Deuce. We have the deep threat..and a game manager at QB. Our DEF will have plenty of rest with the ball on the ground. We will surprise everyone this year...and I expect us to have a winning record.

Im excited to. man i cant wait till week one vs new york. WER GONNA OWN!

You may have a deep threat, but Pennington ain't getting it out there. Also Chad DOES turn the ball over, look at his last 2 years, he only gets 1 more TD then INT. Thats what he is now, he will have games where he can't do anything and throws 3 INTS. Then he'll have games where he has 2 TDs 0 INTs. It depends how good the defense is, if its good he will do nothing, if its alright to bad he probably will do something.

way to come in and ruin the mood.. first off penny was battlin injuries the last 2 years.. so that prob was his biggest setback.. but he still is a great qb (*if healthy*)

Here's something Chad Didn't have in the last two years. RICKY WILLIAMS AND RONNIE BROWN, WITH A SICK *** DEFENSE..

Sorry about that, now thinking about it that was a dick move, I know you guys are excited and all, you guys should be, after having trash at management and horrible coaches you have something to look forward too.
Pennington was healthy 06, he did alright, but at the same time did bad. Very inconsistent, and last year he says his ankle was bad all year, but to me thats an excuse, since good players can still be productive being hurt.
Just remember you aren't getting the 02 Pennington, you are getting the 06-07 Pennington, he is not a great QB, hes a average QB. If he was such a great QB we wouldn't have tried to move him, and he was barely leading in the QB competition this offseason.

Um?? I'll give you that he didn't have much of a run game, or at least a consistent run game. But the Dolphins defense right now is not something to brag about. IMO They still need to be built, I see that defense in the 25-32 range in NFL rankings.

Keep Dreaming. With Allen a healthy Goodman, Lehan, Bell, J. Allen and Hill our secondary is deep and fast.

Crowder has pro-bowl written all over him. Akin is no slouch, Ferguson, I you know a lot about him. Add Porter, Roth, Starks, Solai, Merling and Langford will make sure your running game remains grounded.

Trust me buddy, this is a new and improve Miami. You guys are going down on Sunday plain and simple.

Jets fan, check back in a month to se where our defensive rankings are. I am sure they will blow away the rankings you are currently giving us. I do like the fact that you are a civil fan and can communicate smartly. Not to many Jets fans that can do that, so it is appreciated, atleast from me.

In 2005 and 2006 Favre threw a lot of picks and he looked old and ready for retirement. He had a good season in 2007 which is more likely to be a blip.
He is getting older and how he plays this season is unpredictable.
Also, historically when teams spend a lot of money on big name FA's in an attempt to buy a playoff spot/championship in ends up biting them in the _ss.
Calvin Pace was overpaid based on a "career yr" in which he got SIX sacks.
Damien Woody is on the verge of being a journeyman at this point in his career and he was overpaid.
Ferguson has been a relative disappointment based on his draft position and hype coming out of college. He's a decent, but by no means, dominant LT.
Your top pick Gholston is slow to catch on, so he won't be a factor in the early part of the season.
The Jets IMO are the most overhyped team in the league right now. Ready for a hard fall.

I wouldn't trade Miami's front 7 for yours. The Phins have a nice mix of young (Merling, Langford) and veteran (Holliday, Ferguson) lineman with good depth.
So you got Jenkins. Carolina had been trying to unload him for the past 2-3 yrs. He's got talent, but he's overweight and inconsistent.
He won't play at a high level for 4 quarters in Miami this weekend. He won't last in the humidity.

Will Allen I never was impressed by, watched him a lot when he was with the Giants, he has speed but bad technique. And didn't think he was that good last year when we played you guys, I believe Justin McDroppins burnt him downfield on one play that sticks out in my head.
Goodman honestly I haven't seen or heard much of him, I just know that when we played you guys last year your secondary looked bad, and I don't think you guys made any moves to improve it?
Your pass rush like it or not will take a hit from losing Jason Taylor. Merling was decent in college, hes a alright run player.Solai is garbage, just a big guy that isn't good. Starks was actually a guy I wanted the Jets to sign, I think hes a solid player, Porter is washed up and isn't what he used to be, he was washed up when you guys signed him. Roth don't know who he is, if he was on the last year team he didn't do anything against us.
Jason Ferguson is a good player, but hes old and and had some kind of injury last year, I know he was on IR or something, I watch a lot of Cowboys games, some people in my house are Cowboy fans. Akin is a solid player, he will have his games. Langford is a good looking young player, wanted to draft him, good 3-4 DE. Don't see how Crowder has probowl written all over him, hes a ILB right? There are a lot of good ILBs in the AFC probably better then him, Demeco Ryans, Ray Lewis, James Farrior, David Harris, Krik Morrison. Those guys are all better players, maybe Crowder breaks out this year? He hasn't looked so great the last 3 years, looked like a average LB, kind of like Akin.
Sorry I just don't see this top defense, I see it in the bottom half.
